The Ki-61 represents a major shift in Japanese design in WWII, with a liquid cooled, supercharged engine- a copy of the DB 601Aa in fact. It's got the elements of a Japanese turn fighter with great wing design, and the strengths/weaknesses of the inline 12 common in the C202 and Bf 109 E. I love this plane also. Thanks for the video!

This plane makes Tier I-III grind super easy. I haven’t had this much fun in a long time. I thought I would stick with the Ki-44-II hei, but the generous 1300 round magazine was too good to resist the Ki-61-I otsu. I got a 75% off coupon for the Chinese captured A6M2, and in the past I picked up the A6M5 ko, but was kinda disappointed which explains why the give them away for dirt cheap like $5-$10 on-sale. Also, liked your video. I’ll be happy to see more in the future.

u should try realistic if u got more time the early game climb is painful since props are slow as shit but the fights are more satisfying nice vid tho u got skills for commentating videos

@@FlyWarThunder arcade is fun and chaotic lol people throw their bodies so often switched to realistic since the grind is too painful in arcade and the queue is empty after 7.0 ☠️☠️☠️

How noticeable are the differences between the ki 61 and the ki 44? (Both with 4 50. Cals) I have spaded and specialised the ki 44 and I love it, and it seems similar to the ki 61, with this now I want to spade it, but should I use it as the 44?

Ki-44-II has a better climb rate. The Ki-61 is noticably more maneuverable with a better turn time. I use them both in a similar manner but for turn fights, it's hard to beat the Ki-61.
