Nice demo, I chickened out today flying. Been so dang windy and bad weather I wanted to get out and fly but my gut told me no. So I took out my small era’s in the wind and yep blowing all around 🥴 at least no crashes.

A gusty breeze has never bothered me before, but now, I have my 1st rc helicopter (Fly Wing B206). I took her flying today, she didn't like it. No drama, but never again!

HI. B206 is quite a light heli at around 1200g, so will be buffeted a bit in the wind. Wind still days are always the most pleasant though..

Congrats on the 206. I’ve also have one yet haven’t flown do to the unpredictable weather. Been windy since Halloween. My small helis I’ll fly in a 🌪️ practically just to get out in back yard when can. Payed the price on that once. At aprox 40ft a Huge wind gust like a jet stream blew that heli like a feather for three properties away. As I fought the wind trying to get the little guy out of the gust with zero luck it finally hit a branch of a tree at wood line at around 25ft high and down she went into woods. I found it two days later stuck in some honeysuckle brush at 9ft. Lost the front cabin of fuseloge on impact. It’s up and running fine again. Lesson learned as I don’t dare want to push the gusty winds with the big dog helis. It could do carnage to someone or something if it goes bonkers.

Yeah, thats a bummer. These helis at 1.3kg can handle quite a stiff breeze in fact, but its never a good idea. Regards
