I always get my boyfriend a kind of pamper gift card for a great barber shop in the city that comes with a bunch of treatments like hot towel and straight razor shave, usually a hair treatment or cut and scalp massage. Lots of options if you look at the different men's salons/barber shops in your city to get what he would like best.

You could include a small framed photo of you & Fran. A nice engraved pen. Things to make him think of you & smile while at work, or to make his day easier. I also think cologne is nice, if he wears it. Or if he's into things like this, maybe spa services- a massage, men's facial, pedicure.... maybe a couple's massage... help to relax him after he's worked so hard!
