Hey Rob! I really like how you break down the timeline of each call - that's a great idea! Next time I'll make sure to get on the log!

Thank you! I do not always take the time to do that, but on an important one like this I figured everyone would appreciate it. I need to get back in the habit of doing time stamps more. Thanks for watching, 73!

Another busy pass. My apologies to WA4CWI. I did not hear him call you before I made my call.

Great job, really enjoying your videos. I'm trying to find the preamp you are using and can't seem to locate it. Can you tell me which one it is, or provide a link please? I appreciate it! Thank 73 de Jim W1JT

Thank you for watching Jim I appreciate it! I use the SHF Elektronik Mini 70 & Mini 2. They come straight from Germany. With shipping they are around $210 usd each. So far they have been absolutely flawless and the difference on receiving is amazing. The 9700 has an amazing reception already but when you fire these up the world comes to life. I routinely have an S9+10 reception on FM satellites. Here’s a link to the Mini 70. www.shf-elektronik.de/index.php/en/products/preamplifiers/preamplifier-70cm/174-mini-70-en.html

What equipment do you need for this?

I use an Icom IC-9700, WiMo X-Quads, Mini 70 preamp, and CSN Technologies Sat controller with a Yaesu G5500 rotor.
