Mr. Lal , we suggest that you must first check reason for NIL D.O. , If all diffusers are working fine itmay be the reason that Oxygen supply is unable to meet the BOD / COD demand , you can mae use of OXYSUPER to Increase the D.O. Thanks Team Superweld www.superweld.in

1. HIGH RATE (MODIFIED AERATION) - High F/M ratio (0.4 to 1.5). 2. CONVENTIONAL - Moderate F/M ratio (0.2 to 0.4). 3. EXTENDED AERATION - Low F/M ratio (0.05 to 0.15).

@@saveearth5850 1. In addition to an adequate carbon source, activated sludge bacteria require adequate amounts of nutrients, such as nitrogen and phosphorus, to function properly. 2. The general rule of thumb is that the ratio of BOD-to-nitrogen-to-phosphorus in the primary clarifier effluent be approximately 100:5:1. Nutrient Demand Calculation Nitrogen Demand : 0.04 - 0.05 kg N/kg BOD5. Phosphor Demand : 0.01 - 0.02 kg P/kg BOD5. Example: Waste water inflow = 1000 m3/day Concentration and Load of BOD5 = 1700 mg/L and 1700 kg BOD5/day Nitrogen Demand = 0.05 kg/kg BOD5 Phosphor Demand = 0.02 kg/kg BOD5 Nutrients (N and P) needed for growth of micro-organisms : Nitrogen = Demand × Load = (0.05) kg N/kg BOD5 × (1700) kg BOD5/day = 85 kg N/day. Phosphor = Demand × Load = (0.02) kg P/kg BOD5 × (1700) kg BOD5/day = 34 kg P/day. If the inflow has : (1) total N concentration = 50 mg/L, this means nitrogen load = 50 kg N/day. (2) total P concentration = 10 mg/L, this means phosphor load = 10 kg P/day. Then there are insufficient nutrients in the wastewater. These have to be either be added or the method of treatment has to be reconsidered.

Menu mam is excellent described everything and outstanding knowledge regarding waste water.thanks mam.yes Sunil Singh ji.ph is not called growth it is say that as per technically pH increasing and raising.ok.first you have checked raw effluent alkalinity and pH range the pH range goes down due to presence of organic acid carboxylic group.in the effluent if lime and caustic base are added in raw effluent then pH range will be increased.it is very important to maintain for the biological oxidant tank.otherwise microorganisms will not be able to consume the organic matter from waste water thanks

MLSS ka matlab hai mixed liquor suspended solid, ya jise samanya bhasa me kahe to paani me tairta hua kachra or microorganisms ka mixture. Ye kachra organic material(BOD etc) ka hota hai jise microorganisms kha sakte hai(decompose), Aapke questions ke anusaar, MLSS chala jayega to paani me kuch nahi rahega, Aap ab bataye ki aapke paani me microorganisms kam ho rahe hai ya organic material?
