Same roots different branches. From my understanding the footwork is slightly different, with the Dekiti system favoring circular footwork as opposed to the triangular footwork patterns in Pekiti. But then I haven't trained in Pekiti so I really can't say for sure if this is true.

Most of them train military and law enforcement. Some are even in the CAFGU (Civilian Armed Force Geographical Unit) or ARESCOM (Army Reserve Command). I believe GT Gaje is a Colonel in the Reserve.
