Great highlight video. To the not so trained eye, there’s a lot of information here. But all of the basics and the overall applications are there. You just have to constantly train and practice. Thank you GM for sharing your approach to Balintawak.

Yeah, it can be overwhelming at first. But every system will show you the basics, unless they're old school and throw everything at you to see if you can pick it up. It's all about building the physical attributes so you don't freeze up...and like most martial artists say, "breath and calm down," when training.

I can see the scaffold approach to this training. But it requires a lot of reps to get that muscle memory and reactionary timing.

Jessie is also a practitioner under the Bobby Taboada lineage. All of the techniques and grouping are there. They all say the same thing, "it's just different hands and personality, but all of the groupings and training methods are there." Just have to adapt to how each person plays.

@@FMAPulse Groupings are there and will always be. It's the training method (which Groupings is just one aspect) that differs from one master to another.
