Sir.. Looks some corrction required on the calculation of RLP after FOC. Let us put FOC as 2 in 22 pieces.. So retailer will get 24pieces for 28.57x22.That means he get 24 pieces for 628.5 which means 26.19 per pc. This difference came up when you calculate 2/24 which is not equal to 8..This fraction will make the difference and the retailer will get crazy when he see his margin is reducing... 😄 😄 Retailer is always keeping a sword to fight with us.. 😄 😄

Sir, I have a question. My product cost of mfg is Rs.30. I add my 80% profit which is Rs.24. And add some Misc costs such as packing, transport, labour,etc. I have set my MRP to Rs.105 and give a profit cut of 25% of MRP to shop keeper. Here I don't do the RLP = MRP -marginxRLP. Am I wrong in doing straight forward calculations? What's the loss in not doing RLP way of calculation? Is it too big a loss? Thank you

excellent explanation sir. I have a small doubt. Retailer landing price after scheme is mentioned as 26.28 while RLP before scheme 28.57. Now, you have calculated DLP based on RLP before scheme which comes to 27.20. Now if the distributor is selling to retailer on scheme, he is making a loss. Can you please explain how it works. Thank you

Let me clarify (RLP after scheme- 06:58) RLP is Rs.28.57/- (Total to pay - 22 pcs*28.57=628.54/-, 2 pc extra, hence 628.54/24=Rs.26.19/- is net price) According to your calculation (26.28*(22+2)=630.72/-, ie, 2.18 rupees extra) Please clarify

Hi Sir, there is an error in the calculation method used to find the landing price of the items with free SKUs. The free SKUs have been split on a base of 24, while it should actually be split on a base of 22, as the retailer is not paying for the 2 free items. In this case, the RLP would be 28.57 - 9.09% (which is 2/22). The sell-in rate turns out to be Rs. 25.97, and not Rs. 26.19.
@skilltowill
@skilltowill 2 жыл бұрын
The scheme is 22+2, in other words, on 24 pieces he gets 2 pieces free. How do you calculate Buy 1 Get 1 Free? this is 50% discount because 1/(1+1) = 50%, What is Buy 2 Get 1 Free? This is 1/(2+1) = 33% discount. Same way Buy 22 Get 2 Free = 2/(22+2) = 8%. Hope now you have understood the calculation
