This should be under the federal freedom of information Act, Truckers are hurting and because cost to run their equipment up and down the highways. Good Evening, Stop blaming the brokers without holding the Shippers/Receivers accountable. All parties are culpable because all parties know the carrier doesn’t have any recourse or even the permission to make a request without retribution. What good is the, “proof”, of payment record after 48 hrs? Can I order a steak and then pay the bill 48 hrs later if I disagree? You want power back? The, “takeaway”, is the only way. Go home stay home until details/demand are met and addressed. This isn’t a step forward this is simply kicking the can down the road because, they know the vast majority of trucking is weak. We never do what we say we are going to do and until we stay home it’s a huge waste of your time. You want change, well the ball is in our court, we have the power, we have the trucks; it’s time we take a stand and if you’re not ready now, you never will be. The dock workers proved, “take it away”, for a few days maybe longer and you’ll get what you deserve. We can be sheep or the bull, it’s our choice. Stay safe.

They also need to make transparent, if the broker collects a fuel surcharge that they tell the customer will go onto the driver, but the driver never gets it. Many customers who are having products moved are being told that they charged the fuel surcharge and 100% of it goes to the driver when in fact, none of it goes to the driver or if it does, it’s a very small percentage that the broker and the carrier both take a chunk out of just because they can, even though it’s supposed to subsidize drivers fuel.

At that time, the broker will not work with said carriers, knowing we have that agreement.
