Nice video. Just installed my powercore 4 and it's LOUD. Glad to see it would probably be a waste to change to Q4 for such a slight sound decrease.

FYI - every 6 db change equals a DOUBLING in sound pressure - its a logarithmic scale. By coincidence, the difference between the Q4 and Powercore happens to be about 6db...so that means it is twice as loud. HUGE difference.

CampChaosOffroad I don’t mind. I try to always make sure to give a throttle twist by each car so they know I’m there but that doesn’t always keep them from merging into you.

Great video, beside the slightly different in low revs it's a good comparison. Next time maybe mark the throttle with tape or something so you have the exact same revs. I think I'll pick up a Q4

Cant tell the difference on my bike. On a more powerful bike you might feel a difference, but on the wr250r I cant feel any difference.. Also worth mentioning that when you take the spark arrestor out of the Q4 its almost the same loudness as running the Powercore 4 with factory spark arrestor

its technically illegal where I live to have a bike making more than 96db, measured from any distance.

That's not possible, they have to have a spec for distance if they are going to have a max db law.
