I love your enthusiasm, the real "human" touch you bring to all of your projects. I also would like to see some winter quilting ideas like snowflakes, blowing winds, angels, etc. God's blessings on you Rob (and family).

FIRE ! Design a FIRE stitch ! I guess that would be "Flames", but, FIRE is always HOT ! Something simple and artistically abstract.. or maybe Chrome Link Chain stitch ! I could dig that on my back pocket.. Gold/Brass Knuckles is another favorite of mine..

Awesome! I covered an entire throw-sized quilt with spider webs, but I did it with many, many twists and turns of the quilt! My goal was to complete an entire quilt, start to finish, using only my 1895 treadle (and I did!) and many blogs I've read do not recommend trying free motion with the style of bobbin mine has. I will have to try your technique on my modern machine, it looks like an easy and forgiving motif.

Thank you for another great video. I would love to learn how to do some winter motifs, snowflakes, snowmen, stars, as well as Christmas motifs including trees, cradles, candles. Candles would be neat if the flames were glow in the dark.
Great video! Have been subscribed to your channel for a while, so I don’t know how I’ve missed your free motion quilting video. Glad I found them. Would like to see you do something like the background on the Christmas tree hanging in some of the Missouri star Christmas videos. It was quilted with Christmas trees and stars. Keep the videos coming.

Hi Rob, I want to say I great video but I would like to add at 4:35 you talk about your anchor point meeting at the same spot because spiders don't do it that way, Actually they do. In fact if you ever watch spiders make their webs which I have because I have tens of thousands in my yard and they always fascinated as a child and still do. If you look at a perfectly undamaged web that was just created or if you are lucky enough to be able to sit and watch one get created. You will find that the cross threads that make up the round or heptagon shape of the web is actually one long single thread starting in the very middle of the web spiraling out to the very outer edge of the web. when you see that threads anchor point broke from one section to the other? That is where the web has been damaged and the spider has patched the damage up. There are also videos on youtube showing spiders making their webs also. Here is a good one for reference if you want take a few seconds to see what I am talking about. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqivn2RngK-Gb7s

Rob I'd like to see how to fill in a large area with free motion that you see in quilts.How to start ? What motifs go with each other? Thank you for the spider web tutorial 👍🏻
@sarahhunter53026 жыл бұрын
This is great, but I would have like to see how you moved around the quilt with this motif, behind the bottles. Did you quilt the whole row left to right without breaking thread, or???? I'm staying tuned in hopes we'll see more!

I like this design, I am going to use it in some of my fall blocks. Also met at Quilting on the Bayfront in Erie. You said send my email for you to send a picture to me. (I don't own a cell phone) Messaged that info through fb account. I changed some settings on my machine, body mechanics sitting at machine, having fun sewing. Thanks again.

Shouldn't the arch of the spider webs be downward, because of the moisture on the webs and gravity pulling them downward?
