I know you had an earlier model from the factory , but did you have to move your control board to be able to accommodate that 7000? I just got this plane brand new exact same one and mine seems a bit forward. I was just wondering. Thank you! 🤙🏽
@RCINFORMER4 жыл бұрын
I think I did... the battery had to be shifted aft a bit:)

RCINFORMER Thank you. I did that and it works great now for the CG. I’m glad I asked. Thanks for the feedback! ✈️

Fantastic Rich what was the CG mark at , thanks for the flight demo .
@RCINFORMER8 жыл бұрын
Ed Pinzon CG is 85mm with the gear extended(down)... when the gear is retracted(up), the CG shifts forward because ALL 3 struts move forward... the CG shift is about 5mm. Therefore the CG is about 80mm with the gear retracted(up).

I've seen you use that Quanum telemetry in a few of your videos. I know it's a HobbyKing product but they seem to be out of stock and they don't appear to ever stock it again. Where can this device be purchased presently?

Great rc , i think you can put this in a peugeot 107 if take down the seats, my last cessna 150 went in with one cm margin=)But downsized to a corvalis 143 cm and thats no problem.A good one from Norway

Thanks for the video Rich. Always great! Quick question...I'm not familiar with the Kinexis brand batteries, but because you're using it in this video I'm actually interested in it, particularly this 7000mah. I don't recall if you've ever done a review of this batt, so if you have please forgive the question. If you've had some extensive experience with it, what are you impressions of the quality of this particular battery? I know the video was for the plane, but thanks for any feedback you can offer on the on the battery as well.

Flying Ant It's a Newer brand from ForceRC.com .... When I heard that the FMS A-10 was coming to market, I began to search for a Lipo that had more than 5000mah to improve the flight time. I discovered this pack on the ForceRC.com website and figured It would be a better option than a 5000. I suggested to the ForceRC guys that this may be a better battery than a 5000 simply due to the improved flight time. I am getting a full 5min flight with this pack! The 30c "C" rating is lower than normal for an EDF, however since the capacity is so high, the max amp draw off the battery is 210amps. That easily handles the 100 to 115amp draw of the two 70mm fans:) Also the weight is only about 4 or 5 oz more than a 5000 pack.
@flyingant25577 жыл бұрын
Awesome! I think I'll give this battery a whirl. My fear, of course, flying it in an EDF, is that the battery may puff, being only a 30C. Thanks for the reply, as always! And thanks again for the great video information.

vn.. how warm was the battery after the flight ?? thx
@RCINFORMER8 жыл бұрын
1976axerhand It's warm but I am also flying it hard:)
@Slassh69x8 жыл бұрын
RCINFORMER on top of flying it nearly down to the 80% mark. I would be interested in the actual temperature of the pack, they seem like a decent mix of affordability and weight so long as the C rating is a true 30.

Damn you Rich you keep selling me planes lol. I've had this on the radar for a while but got the F7F instead when it came out. This one and the FMS F16 are on my list (have you reviewed their F16 yet? I'll soon find out lol).

have you tried timing a 5000 mah battery on the A 10? I have a 5200 mah battery im thinking about 3 minutes flight time maybe!!
@RCINFORMER7 жыл бұрын
Danny Gomez. no I have not... however I will probably do a demo of this soon and put it up.... but many guys using a 5000mah to 5800mah and they seem to be also beginning about 5 minutes of flight time, but they are using batteries with a higher C rating.
@adventures36997 жыл бұрын
yes mine is the power hobby 5200mah 50c. im hoping at least 4 minutes. but yeah if you make a video with a 5000 mah or so battery that would be great info. I think your videos are very informative so keep up the good work! thanks for the reply man. Happy flying!!!
@RCINFORMER7 жыл бұрын
Danny Gomez it also depends on how hard you fly the airplane if you fly a really hard you'll get less flight time out of it if you fly around normally you'll get a little bit more... I fly mine pretty hard in the video and most guys seem to get more flight time than me as they don't fly it as hard
@GasKing8 жыл бұрын
What your flight time on a 7000 mah battery wonder how long a 5000 mah lasts
@RCINFORMER8 жыл бұрын
Henry King I get a solid 5+ minutes on a the KINEXIS 7000 from ForceRC.com ... This flight was 5min from the start of the takeoff roll to touchdown with some sitting around in the begining... The telemetry reading includes ALL this time including the taxi back to the camera with a little room to spare:) The 5000 pack will be significantly less... probably 3 to 4 min total...
@georgeamenta82078 жыл бұрын
RCINFORMER Awesome plane! I was just wondering how those Kinexis batteries have worked for ya. I have the freewing 80mm f86 and the admiral batteries lasted less than 40 flights each. Im trying to find new batteries for my sabre and good quality batteries before i dive into another jet
@Slassh69x8 жыл бұрын
George Amenta Check out RCJetwerx.com for their Roaring Top lipos. They are excellent and Rich has done reviews on them. They are very light, accurately labeled when it comes to C rating and capacity goes all the way up to 5800mah. Plus they are affordable and located in the US.

@RCINFORMER7 жыл бұрын
Danny Gomez Yes, the flight time is about 5 minutes.... if you count the time from takeoff to touchdown it's about 5 minutes:) As I indicated in the beginning of the video, I said it gives you a good five minutes of flight time:)
