I'm still a hardcore scale guy at heart but these are very fun, especially for racing as we have 2 identical models. It'll be interesting to see how fast a brushless version is. Thanks for watching everyone 👍

I think you’ll enjoy these. It brought lots of excitement for us each time we go to get back out the scale Rc’s and vise versus

When is the brushless version?

Watching you race these around reminded me of my old ProPulse Megatech 1/18 truck that I had many years ago. Lot of good times were had with that truck and I might have to get one of these to relive that!

Very cool. I’ve a few of the Smashers and one of the Blazer crawlers. It might be time to add one of these to the fleet.

Just got mine the other day and I think it's great little rc.

For the price its much better quality than anything i might buy for my kids from walmart or target. The difference is night and day between those lower quality, sometimes more expensive, rc vehicles

True, It's a very solid hobby grade truck with serviable parts if repairs are needed. Just need to be careful with LiPo batteries as there can be a safety risk if improperly handed or stored.

I have a super small dirt track in my backyard and my Losi mini t 2.0 is small enough to get around it’s a little big. But this size would be perfect but monster trucks are terrible around tracks hopefully they will make a buggy, rally, SCT, or truggy

The stock FCX24 tractor style wheels fit on these and clear the hub if you put little washers between the hex and the wheel to space it off 2mm approx I’m converting a playmobil beetle to fit this chassis! Beetle buggy

I would definitely buy that transmission for my Smasher. It looks like it have the same mounting point
@R-EVLMNKY7 ай бұрын
Have you tried the transmission on the smasher? Did you also use the 370 motor?

Would be sick if FMS or really any company at this point made a basher/race truck compatible with some SCX24 parts like bumpers, wheels, 1.0 tires and maybe even suspension but with a different drivetrain and independent suspension setup. There is the fms smasher but I want a race truck not a monster with solid axles. More like trophy truck style
@gingerssuck8 ай бұрын
Orlandoo makes a 1/32 2wd trophy truck that looks really nice. However it does not use scx24 parts. And it’s hard to tell if it is fast enough From the videos I’ve seen. Also pretty $$$

I'm currently debating buying this or the smasher. I like the looks of the smasher, but this looks like fun also.
@MakeItRC Жыл бұрын
Both are great trucks. The FMT24 is faster and more durable, however the Smasher has more of a life-like appearance with it's detailed hardbody. The Smasher can be upgraded with faster motors, however you'll need to install them yourself.

I’ve bought two of the speed motors and both came with the brass pinion pressed too far on and I was not successfully able to adjust them without slightly deforming the pinion as it is softish brass. I have not reached out to FMS yet in regards however as I repurposed the motors for other projects

I've got about 30 minutes runtime with this. nothing crazy. the front diff no longer grabs the c-cup. FMS wouldnt help me out as i had ordered from amazon. oh well. i had already ordered 4 more batteries and paid for shipping. so my second order on these "cheap" parts didnt hit the $100 for free shipping. This is all to say yea the parts are cheap but it's gonna cost $15 to ship. eventually, im going to have ordered enough parts and shipping to have just bought a whole new truck.
@gingerssuck8 ай бұрын
That’s irritating to hear. Have you managed to repair the diff yet? I saw the diff cups on the fms site have a V2 suffix. I wonder if they addressed the issue?
@zacharystewart33088 ай бұрын
I bought anew diff and managed to put it in. lost steering and drive and ended up with 2 springs i couldnt see in the diagram. ended up just buying a new truck. after i saw where those springs are supposed to go, i tried again but couldnt manage to reassemble correctly after getting drive and hopefully steering back. in my attempt, i broke one of the long bolts that goes into that servo/spring assembly. so i have a working truck and full parts truck. no one out there seems to have a video on how to correctly replace a front diff and reassemble. @@gingerssuck

this and the granite grom are about same size
@gingerssuck8 ай бұрын
This is about 2/3 the size of the grom mt. The size difference down from a grom is similar to going from a 1/16 erevo down to a grom. Also this accelerates quicker, may be a bit faster on the top end (too much snow/ice to do a proper test yet) and turns much much sharper. The grom looks like it could handle crashes better although the fmt24 looks like it will stand up drivetrain wise really well. The grom is a little bit quieter. Neither comes with lights 😡 a $20 Walmart special (safari racer like 28th associated cars) comes with front and rear lights (w/brake and signals) and a light bar. Why so cheap with the lights?
