I wish they had just stuck to the book the series is based on. It has such a beautiful happy ending, unlike the whole bullshit africa story at the end. The minute the script writers deviate from the book it goes to shit. In the book the ML really changes, is loving and caring and totally redeems himself. I pray the Koreans or Thai remake this but stick to the book.

Really? What's with the writers head changing it to the last minute? Dr. Ruan deserve all the doting, respect and care of her ex-husband, not the other way around of FORGETTING her. To think, SHE was his savior. If Dr. Ruan did not operate on him HE HAS DIED ALREADY. Also, SHAME on the father. He could have bring the wedding photo so as to remind Dr. Ning that Dr. Ruan is her ex-wife and fiancee at the same time. The ending sucks really!

​@@natgeo6984It doesn't redeem her dignity of always pushing herself to Dr. Ning. She should have moved on upon knowing he's alive. Why stick to him again just to remind him of her? She has a family of her own (mother who got widowed) and a brother to guide. Also she should have returned to her hospital and focus on helping people that need her expertise in neurosurgery. Why waste her time to a hopeless guy who doesn't give a damn to her feelings. I really hate for this story revision

It makes young people who are single. (But parents forced) very uncomfortable. Because it's stressful. Until many people have to separate their homes and live separately... In real life, the way of life of mainland Chinese people. Is this true or not? If true, I think it's very antiquated. It's not suitable for Beijing and it's not suitable for the modern life of modern Chinese people. Young people have to be themselves. Intellectual intelligence. Maturity, common sense, educated, why should parents or senior relatives lead the nose?...

People marry for different attractions/motives: some go for beauty (eg the lawyer), financial security, status, suitability (eg this couple). Love is not the most important & enduring. As long as both are happy & satisfied with it. Equal love is just idealistic.
