Hey everyone. I've been looking back at some old Five Nights At Freddy's theories and I just wanted to talk about some of the ones I remembered, and some of the ones that I found crazy in hindsight.

As far as theories of who the killer was, I remember a theory that I would see here and there was that the owner of the pizzeria was the killer, and that the reason the job is so dangerous is because he wanted to see the night guards get killed (this usually tied in to theories that the cupcake was a camera or that there were cameras in the office so the boss could see the finishing kill). It wasn't really a theory I believed back then, but it's surprising how it sort of became true considering William Afton

I think my favorite thing about FNAF 1 is the freedom of expression the game had. There was no demand for lore or continuity, so seemingly random stuff like the garbled 5th night call and the poster of Freddy tearing his head off seemed fittingly mysterious without any severe implications.

​@@The_Real_Noise​The return to Freddy's is a fnaf fangame with really crazy lore and most of the lore is explained in a book called The Dreadful Truth and in that book there is a Japanese goverment facility that does experiments to achieve immortality plus I think it takes place around the same time WWII does but I am not sure. If you want to know more about the fangame I reccomend watching two videos made by a youtuber called Eclipse. The videos are a part of his series called "Have you heard about?" and one of them is more about the games and some of their lore and the other one talks about the book's lore (because a few things in the series have been retconned over the years)

My personal theory is golden Freddy throws rocks at the camera to disable them for a bit. (They are off cam) this makes it so the animatronics seem like they are teleporting from room to room and why the camera bugs when they move. It makes sense for golden Freddy to be the one throwing rocks because they are more unnatural probably able to be in multiple rooms at once. This is why golden Freddy appears in your office they made a mistake while teleporting. Also foxy is running to fast for golden Freddy to throw the rock at the camera. This theory explains why the kitchen camera is broken. It is because golden Freddy threw the rock to hard at the camera. This theory also explains why golden Freddy is seen slumped down in a sitting position. It’s because they are tired from throwing rocks all night long. This also explains why 1987 in custom night gives a jump scare. It is because golden Freddy threw a rock at foxy or Freddy which caused them to get angry. So freddy/foxy chased after golden Freddy but the biter tripped and bit some poor kids forehead.

I always liked the "Phone Guy is Golden Freddy" theory! Obviously doesn't hold up now, but I found it compelling at the time. Phone Guy was killed by the animatronics and stuffed in an empty suit (Golden Freddy is the only mascot suit rather than animatronic), he says he's going to "try to hold out until someone checks", but no one ever does, least of all the player. Golden Freddy is him possessing the suit, trying to communicate with the player that he's inside the suit - "it's me". Also always liked the "the player is the killer" theory, although I felt like the connection to the Chuck E. Cheese murders was a bit of a stretch even then. I didn't find the variations of the "Golden Freddy is an empty suit waiting for you" theory until later, but that one's also one of my favourites because the idea is so eerie. Early FNAF 1 theories were fun.

I remember listening to a theory that was extremely grounded in reality. It basically said the oder was caused by the suits being old, the blood and mucus was just oil and hydraulic fluids. The ghosts never existed, and the explanation on phone of the animatronics just see you as a uncostumed endo. It was honestly one of my favorites.. Regarding Foxy possibly causing the Bite of 87, it's also been said that his jaw appears to be broken in all of his appearances, likely caused by the accident itself. The only time I believe it ever closes is during his run animation, though that could be caused by the force of his run.

I think the concept of phone guy being inside Chica makes quite a lot of sense. In night 4 (i think), phone guy tells you about how he wants you to check the suits (because the animatronics are going to capture him and stuff him into one of their suits). So he is in ONE suit. For chica, u have extra teeth coming out her character, which may be only an exoskeleton but is also quite likely to be real.

My favourite theory was Golden Freddy being a mind-alterinf entity that was used in the Cold War to manipulate Soviet Officials. After the Cold War Golden Freddy didnt have a purpose but he still needed to manipulate minds so a Nightshift Guard has to go through 5 Nights of hallucinations so Golden Freddy has something to keep him entertained, because if he ever gets bored the world will fall into chaos.

I’m not sure if anyone else remembers this but in 2014, I believe a month or 2 after markiplier uploaded his first fnaf video, I remember seeing a fnaf theory video. From what I can recall, the theory stated that the person who murdered the 5 kids was actually hiding in one of the animatronics and was trying to kill you so you couldn’t figure out what happened to the kids. I believe he said that foxy was the suit the murderer was hiding in and that’s why it’s so beat up is because when he tried to kill the kids, they fought back and damaged the suit. I can’t find the video nor remember the name of the channel. And I’m pretty sure the video name itself was fairly generic. Something along the lines of “who and where is the fnaf killer?”
