I think the reason why William didn't scream or panic was because he knew how the suit works. He knew that he would have to stay calm and be careful not to loosen more of the springlocks. But when they all loosened, he accepted his fate by putting the mask back on, knowing that he would possess the suit after death. In Matpat's theory video, he talked about how William in the movie knows much more about souls snd remnants than his game counterpart since he was able to manipulate the animatronics.

The springlock scene in the movie is my favourite variation of any Afton springlock videos (not saying they're bad, they're quite good) and here's why: -It's realistic, the animatronic parts were digging INTO Afton's body, although there may have been a lot of bleeding, the animatronic parts would have prevented the blood from spewing out like a damn firehose, and he was not screaming loudly, because the animatronic parts were impaling his stomach/chest area, you can't exactly scream when a metal rod is inside of your lungs -It's official, Scott Cawthon worked on the movie, which means he (obviously) dictated what happens, and as I said before, it's an official FNaF moment, but in reality this time

@CerussiteIcewarden
@CerussiteIcewarden 3 ай бұрын
People say that this is more “realistic” and it confuses me. The way the springlock works is that it cranks the endo into the back parts of the suit to allow the wearer to climb inside, during a failure the endo would be forcefully smashed back into place. Cupcake’s bite could only activated the ribs (he also didn’t panic, which would have possibly activated more locks), but it still pulled through him which, unlike a stab, would have left gushing blood! It also would have definitely snapped through his ribs, and if the metal didn’t already puncture his lungs the shards of bone would’ve. Overall I just found the scene very underwhelming... I really wished that instead of wasting their gore budget on the kids that broke in (my memory is a bit rusty so I’m not sure how to call them-) they could have used it on William and make the springlock faithful to the games, which would have been wonderful, but alas I fear we will never see the true springlock failure in all its bloody glory in the big screen. :’)

The spring lock scene was realistic, the bolts going into William wouldn’t have caused a lot of bleeding, it would be worse if all the metal bolts went in, and then out, he would’ve died of blood loss right then and there, also him inhaling and exhaling really fast is realistic also, I’m diabetic, type 1, and the site things when they go on, if they hit a muscle, it hurts really badly, to the point you can’t move because of how bad it stings, and after removing it when you have to, blood comes out if it does hit something, him doing those jolts and small movements is pretty realistic.

Btw for all the people out their that didn’t like the springlock scene, I made a new script Scene: *Abby puts the picture on the wall and the power cuts out except one spotlight pointed at the drawing. All the animatronics eyes turn a dark red as they slowly walk toward William glitching from animatronic to ghost child as they walk.* William: “Look at you all! You wretched beasts from the depth of HE||! I made you! Yeah, I m**dered you all and I’d DO IT AGAIN!” Scene: *William eyes Abby standing only a few feet from him, he grabs her and puts a knife to her neck as she screams* William: Make one move and she joins y’all! Scene: *Vanessa, seeing this, immediately sees the spring locks at the corner of Williams suit. She then gets the idea to flip to fire alarm to trigger a springlock failure. She runs over to the switch and flips it. William looks over but it is to late.* William: “What have you done…” Scene: *The fire alarm Blares and water comes pouring down. The alarm goes silent as the power surges. All is silent until the sound of a loud crack screams from Williams suit.* William: “AHHHH! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE VANESSA!” Scene: *William screams in pain as the ears of the suit crack his skull and his eyes are gorged out. Metal prongs then shoot up his jaw as blood spews from his wounds. William looks around as all the ghost children surround him. Cassidy then walks out from the shadows and stares into his soul. The blood from his head triggers the torso springlocks to fail, crushing his spine and puncturing his organs. William falls to the ground screaming in pain as the impact causes his leg springlocks to fail and crush his legs with metal support rods.* William: “You all will rot in He|| and so will your brother Mike!” Scene: *As William points at Mike his arm springlocks fail and cause his arms to stiffen as he lies on the ground twitching in a pool of blood. The animatronics all grab hold on William and drag him to the back room as the building shakes and lights break. Mike, Vanessa, and Abby all escape with their life.* Scene: *skipping all the other boring stuff, the movie ends with Williams body in the spring Bonnie suit (now springtrap) in the back room as the FNAF phone call plays in the background. The call slowly fades.* William (Springtrap): “I always come back.” (In his British accent 😂) Scene: *Williams eyes light up and he lunges forward and pulls back his mouth revealing his rotting corpse. Then the movie ends with that absolute banger of a song.* Please rate this script 1-10. 😊

I agree with you about movie being the rated R but if they did it, at least 60% of fans wouldn't be able to watch it, and when you make a film, you want an audience. the springlock failure scene actually was made in the correct way, the fans are complaining about it because they thought it would be just like the SFM animations from 2016. The springlock scene was just like William Afton himself explained, slow, painful death, no screams because vocal chords being springlocked (in the case of the film, William was holding himself back from screaming and panic) and no senseless blood physics (the parts and metal gears of the endoskeleton, when they pierce the body, prevent the blood from gushing out, causing you to die by drowning in your own blood)

They toned it down way too much imo, even too much for a pg-13 movie

I think at the end williams aftons springlock failure should be better but the movie was 8/10 for me

Actually, they didn’t add gore so that the children could see it and they would earn more money.

but who cares about “some people” being mad? just remember the game as it is and remember the movie as a somewhat faithful adaptation.
