Loyal Theorists, I heard you loud and clear about the section of FNAF Ruin that we missed. I know we skipped a HUGE chunk of lore in Roxy Raceway that we just needed to go back and get. So today I'm doing that! I'm going back and cleaning up all of the loose ends from Ruin, from the Scooper ending, and I was even able to find Glamrock Bonnie... with the help of a few friends.

By the way the Mimic saying "the stupid door won't open" when it's behind the concrete is the exact same line that Gregory says when he tries to let Freddy out of his room (without the photo pass). So the Mimic would've been studying Gregory the entire time he was in the Pizza-Plex I guess.

Also when you first meet the mimic, it says “I-i’m Gregory”, which is exactly what Gregory says in the beginning of Security Breach when Freddy asks for his name

@@dantedash in the game she chases Gregory’s voice and when she finds who she thinks is Gregory she screams to give her back her eyes. I think she’s quite bothered by not having eyes. I always thought the others probably act the same human though, Chica just has an eating problem and Monty has abit of an anger issue. Freddy seemed to consider all of them close friends so they can’t like inhuman compared to him.

So glad Matpat got to join in on Mark and Dawko's SPECTACULAR duo. They all did such great work together. In all seriousness, the ending where Gregory finds a place to hide and Cassie walks into a corner is called the "Brazil Ending". A reference to a movie where a character goes through something traumatic and then uses their mind as a form of escapism. That ending seems to be implying that Gregory has in fact not found "a place to hide" but rather that Cassie is literally imagining a good ending for herself because she knows she's trapped down there with the Mimic, has taken a wrong turn and she will very soon be meeting her demise. So yeah. FNAF loves its dark endings.

If you notice in the ending where you see Gregory, Helpi, and Vanessa on a hill, that's the only ending where you don't hear Roxy say the name Cassie after the credits. I think this implies that it's the only ending where Cassie actually dies. She gets cornered by the mimic and imagines a peaceful moment with Gregory just before she gets killed.

Interesting thing I noticed about Bonnie's glowing eyes is we've actually seen that glowing effect before on Freddy throughout Security Breach. I always found it odd that Freddy's eyes are blue in all the art and promo, but have the glowing light over the top inthe game. Interesting to see that same effect on Bonnie.

I remember in MatPat's recent theory where he quotes the book and says that the mimic can change shape to fit a space. I feel like the fredbear ending " I've found a place to hide" means the mimic entered and took over Cassie's body and " found a place to hide" as her and can go into the world

Going off of what we know of the Mimic, when Cassie puts on the mask and gets the delusion ending and Gregory says “Don’t worry I found a place to hide”, considering that the Mimic has been replicating Gregory’s voice the whole time, maybe the mimic is saying it has a new place to hide because it can now use Cassie as a new “suit” to hide within

An interesting thing to point out is that when Cassie bursts the wall with the forklift and confronts the mimic initially, it says the same voice line as Gregory when he first says his name to Glamrock Freddy in SB, as if that was the first line the mimic learned.

Gregory saying his name happened AFTER Freddy scanned him so that means that the mimic could not learn Gregory's personality/voice if not through Freddy's eyes or if the mimic was pretending to be Freddy himself.

Wait...could patient 46 have been the mimic all along? Throughout the tapes/assumptions: - Patient 46 never spoke in any audio recording, and the mimic is only able to mimic voices, not string together their own sentences coherently. - Patient 46 knew about what was happening in Vanessa's therapy sessions, and was killing the therapists getting too close to the truth. The mimic would easily have access to these due to having access to the Fazbear system. - Patient 46 is treated like a child, but is also shown to have incredible intelligence. The mimic program is still learning, hence the child-like treatment, but is a highly advanced AI, hence the intelligence. First audio recording of Patient 46: - "When the shades are pulled it feels like we’re in a cubby hole or cave, yeah?" The mimic endos appear in a dark location in Security Breach, and the mimic in Ruin appears in a cave. Second audio recording of Patient 46: - "That chair doesn’t really fit you, does it?" - At first we thought the chair was too big, to explain it being Gregory. However, if the chair was too SMALL, such as it being an endo, the chair would not fit them. If the chair was too BIG, it would still fit THEM, THEY wouldn't fit the chair. - "you don’t come across as a troublemaker but, if you read between the lines it’s clear that you have a little rebellious side. Right?" - The mimic follows what it was shown to do, but takes it too far. - "And I’m surprised by your knowledge of computers." - The mimic would know a lot about computers, it is one. Third audio recording of Patient 46: - "Sure, you can have a candy." - This is the first time an audio log really contradicts this being the mimic, however, it may just be mimicking humans wanting candy. However, of course it would be strange for the mimic to want a candy for any other reason, and it would risk exposing itself as not human. - "When I read your account of what happened it came across as, well, more of an objective rather than a subjective narrative." - The mimic program attempting to appear human would just be mimicking a story, and would give the objective facts of the story due to being an AI. Fourth audio recording of Patient 46: - "I suggested you write down exactly what made you so sad and scared. Did you do that?" - Just something I noticed, not specifically evidence for any specific theory, but could this have been what the post it note room was for? Fifth audio recording of Patient 46: - "the woman's body was pretty messed up. It looked like it was mangled by machinery." - If the therapists were killed by the mimic endo, this line about machinery would make a lot of sense. - Weak evidence: Patient 46 isn't bothered by anything said here, which would make sense if they were an unfeeling AI. It would however make sense in any situation where they were the cause of the therapists' deaths. Sixth audio recording of Patient 46: - "I saw in your file that you have developed software programs that talk to you and repeat phrases, right?" "Another way of talking to yourself to work things out, right?" - This is hard to explain with the idea that Patient 46 is the mimic, but I suppose if the mimic program is patient 46, they could be mistaking the mimic for a software they developed? - "When I study this, it sounds like there is someone else responding to you. Who is it?" - Again, difficult to explain with this theory, but perhaps this is the mimic program creating the other mimic endos and training them to be violent? It's interesting to me that the memory of Cassie and Roxy becomes corrupted once the node was deactivated while the one of her and Gregory didn't glitch, but changed to her crying alone. It's almost like the Mimic was trying to erase/downplay Cassie's memories of Roxy, and emphasize how alone she was without Gregory, so that she'll be willing to deactivate Roxy to "save him" when the time comes.

Also to note the ending where you wear the mask with the fredbear standup is known as the "Brazil" ending in the game files, most definitely a reference to the movie where in the end of that movie, the protagonist escapes to a fake reality (delusion) when in reality everything went wrong and they are being tortured. As a result, the implications of this ending in Ruin is horrific. Basically, Cassie is so traumatized by what she's gone through, losing Roxy, fear of the Mimic, and/or has lost all trust in Gregory after what happened, that rather than continue running and listening to instructions from someone she can't trust, instead she choose to put on her mask and escape to a fake reality where everything is happy and perfect. And at the same time, remember the mimic is near, so in essence she chose to escape to a happy fake reality while she waits to be inevitably killed by the mimic. So in actuality this is the worst ending.

The movie is actually really good! I’ve seen it in my film class in college. The whole movie is bouncing back and forth from reality (which matches ruins gameplay) and the further you get in the story the more reality and fiction blend. It actually fools the audience multiple times about what is real and what isn’t. The main character does give in to fiction at the end after being tortured to the point of not waking up from that fantasy world. Until you pointed it out it didn’t dawn on me very much but now that you brought up the film now I’m like “this… this is the same Omg.” So in reality, there is no happy ending for Cassie… 😭

I’d also like to point out that we never saw Bonnie in VR. He very well could have been highlighted in green before we deactivated him. I think it would be incredibly cool if Bonnie was also a part of the security system, like Roxy. I’d also like to put in my two cents regarding Cassie. Roxy mentioned that nobody came to her birthday party. I’m thinking that Gregory might have came over to comfort her, which sparked a friendship. Then, he went missing, likely before or during the events of Security Breach, which left Cassie alone again. Also, I don’t think we talked to Gregory at all during this DLC. The walkie was thrown at Cassie’s feet, which means it was left in the room with the mimic. I just wonder what the point was of the mimic making Cassie believe Gregory betrayed her. I have a little theory, in the books there’s a couple different versions of the mimic with the original “mimic 1” being the oldest, the mimic in the basement must be the game equivalent of mimic 1 as he has a pretty similar endo as the mediocre melodies, most notably their endo jaws are pretty similar
