For me, FNaF 2 was the most scariest game ever. It’s really hard to juggle 5 tasks: check the cameras, repel Foxy with the light, check the vents, keep the Puppet at bay with music, and equip the Freddy mask to fool the animatronics.

What terrifies people at a glance is subjective. For example (The Mangle aside for this discussion), the original Bonnie, Toy Bonnie and withered Freddy still top my list for the absolute creepiest looking animatronics in the franchise. Yet, particularly in the cases of withered Freddy and Toy Bonnie, most other fans think them fairly bland by comparison to others. Conversely, several of the more popularly shooketh upon designs (the nightmares, withered Bonnie, anything from sister location) don't spook me at all. It's a facet of human psychology I find fascinating.

I think what makes the jumpscare so scary is the buildup, the way that you have to keep watching him. You know you’re dead when you hear him in the hall, or even see him. The jumps are is just eerie, plus it has the gut-wrenching fnaf 1 scream.
