FNF Darnell but BF replaces Darnell || fnf Darnell cover

I gotta say, its quite a rocky start, but you'll get there. Everyone starts somewhere you know? Here are some tips: You should try to move BF to a more keyed scale. Try playing around and sticking to see what works. I've also struggled with using tuned voices in attonals and the other way arround, so practice makes perfect

Yeah, I tried that, even my sorta-friend who was helping me thought that it wouldn't really work with how I was doing it I think also just like, maybe Darnell's note pattern itself might just be a tad off lol

I think the issue may be that Darnell and Pico are Atonals(basically just sounds with a tune), while BF is a chromatic with an actual tune. My options are either setting BF to match the instrumental tune(which entirely didn't work), or to record and make my own atonal(which I don't exactly have time for and I'm too anxious to do it lol-) Though currently, I've moved to other songs with chromatics, I've decided to do a High School Conflict with Senpai, actually

Ah, its good to see someone learning FL for the first time because of FNF. Its exactly how I got into making music, aswell! You can see the comments, its a start, yes, but i have some advice as to how you can make this cover better Firstly, Darnells voice in this song isnt tuned. Its more percussion based, but when you have something like BFs voice that is tuned, you need to be a lot more nuanced with how you add his voice. Because of darnells unpithced notes, simply replacing them with BFs ( which is assuming what you did ) would sound... not good. instead, try and fit them in with the instrumental. Ill assume you know basic music knowledge, but just in case, A key is the set of notes that a set piece or song has that makes it sound good. If notes are all over the place, it will sound bad. But, if they are specifically bound to certain notes and dont touch other ones, it sounds better. Obviously there are HUGE exceptions to this rule because its music, but thats just the basics, incase you didnt know. The random nature of Darnells unpitched notes is what makes BF here sound really rough. So, try and fit BFs notes with the instrumental. A good way to do this, is if you have the sound file of the instrumental, and its loaded on the main canvas, right click on the top left little icon that looks like a waveform on the sound file loaded on the canvas, then select pitch correct sample. It will show you the notes of the instrumental, and simply making BFs notes the same as the instrumentals notes is an easy and quick way to harmonize it with the rest of the song. ( to re-open this once its closed, open the mixer, its a plugin on the master track called Newtone ) Of course you can add more notes for musical variety, but it has to be corressponding, else it will sound *not good*, unless you really know how to bend the laws of music theory :P

Yeah, it was before I heard about Atonals, which is what Darnell and Pico are. I had two options, one didn't work right and one would take too long. I DID just make a High School Conflict cover with Senpai, and it should be much better than this which I'll probably just leave alone lol-

I can tell you from experience that I made a crappy FNF song with offkey vocals and instrumental when I used Daws like LMMS or FL Studio for the first time. It takes practice actually, and if you do say that "You dont think it takes music theory to make this" then make this. Be the FNF version of Fanchen and prove them wrong if you choose to do so
