As someone who almost drowned, it's not that peaceful as people think, it's despairing and painful, your lungs feel like it's on fire, your nose hurts, if it's salty water, your eyes will hurt and most time you wouldn't be able to open it, but having it happen, you wouldn't also be able to get out of the water since you wouldn't see the way to things, and if you don't know how to swim and try to not panic, well, you will panic, and you will unconsciously waste your energies trying to swim and get out of the water, and it will be like that for a long time till you go unconscious by drowning/suffocating, after that, i don't really know since i haven't got to that part, but from my experiences, i don't believe the pain goes away. (in any case, i feel Luigi in how he is on the song, it was well portrayed, just s bit painful for me to watch this level, it's just like Sink Sonic.)

I've had a similar experience (but I'm also prone to freakouts, so take this how you will) and I remember being told I yanked someone down with me while I was struggling. Just two seconds is all it takes until you don't even register how berzerk you go. You are literally fighting for your life. I am convinced that anyone who says "drowning is peaceful" has never had an issue near water in their life.

The same thing, once I was in a river with some cousins ​​and there was a rope to hold on to so that the current doesn't carry you away. Canonically, Mario.exe had said all of these opponent's would try to kill boyfriend. So it doesn't make sense how Luigi here was supposed to do anything here, maybe their souls are briefly linked so if Luigi dies then so does Boyfriend? It's the only explanation I can think of and it would explain the gameover I guess

I think is based on the creepypasta where the AI of the game take consience, in that history, luigi deaths drowed, he cant go to the surface for unknown reason (like a invisible wall). The curiosity of this, is during the video, you can hear some desesperated noises of a player hitting the control, and in the moment luigi dead, the sounds stop. i dont know if you understand, i dont speak english too much😅

This made people think that you can play as Luigi in super Mario 64 the mod interprete as Luigi being under the fountain and the pressing of buttons can actually be the player trying to access Luigi. And also 24 years 1 month a person found sprites of Luigi in file of super Mario 64
