I started crying when the devs said legacy songs will be included in V2 primarily due to the fact old Alone was one of those legacy songs. From it’s V1, this is a massive glow up! you really captured the melancholic feel that V1 could have done better, and I’m a sucker for sad / calm songs. I love that it has so much more impactful melodies compared to before, especially at 3:21, mario’s lyrics + plus the melodies sounds amazing here. I also love the watery grave motifs here, which is cool since you worked on it too. this song is the best of the mod imo. well done!

people say this version sounds less somber because his notes aren't as "depressed" sounding, but i think this one feels MORE depressing then the original, the old one sounds more like he's just...singing sad. but this one is basically beta luigi letting out his emotions of greif, ironically to something he's terrified of. he's basically SO sad he's willing to confide to something he is scared of. this version is basically, rather then the song portraying the actual depression, like the original did, it portrays the inner emotions someone would have from such a scenario. where luigi is lamenting "why didn't i just push that much harder?" and i find those emotions are what solidifies a "Sad" song, not just if something "sounds" sad.

I liked the fact that if you listen closely there’s 2 Parts that while they happen to be references they are also foreshadowing the songs that come after this one, some of the song references watery grave (the L is real song from fnf: classified)which foreshadows thalassophobia which is the L is real song for FNF Mario’s Madness, while some of the part starting at 2:07 references I Hate You (IHY) which foreshadows IHY Luigi’s new song and IHY V2, also the entire song feels fitting and emotional for the bad ending of Luigi’s Mansion I also liked the additional detail with the humming

I think this song had one of the best improvements in the mod. What you did with the chromatics is super impressive, considering I've never seen a "humming" chromatic done right before, and that was shown so well around the beginning and end of the song. Mario's segment too, along with Luigi's sadness throughout the song is so emotionally powerful, and I don't care if its for an Fnf song.

V1 of this song was pretty meh, so the difference in quality between that in V2 is massive. I like that they sort of remade the song from the start instead of remixing the original, this one is the perfect mix of the funk while still sticking to the tone of the character. I love the little details throughout the song, the Luigi's mansion melody, the fact that you start this song at full health because Luigi himself has already given up, or the separate sprites for Luigi used at the beginning and end of the song. Easily the best part is 3:20, first time I heard it tbh I didn't even know there were lyrics

Heh. The fact that is so reminiscent of your work on Watery Grave (and even has a motif from it in this song) is such a beautful thing to see and hear... While I won’t talk down on anyone who prefers the original version, we all have our own tastes, V2 just feels better overall, V1 to me just doesn’t have anything that makes it memorable aside from I guess the depressing tone, V2 is better to me due to it feeling like it’s not only trying and succeeding to convey Luigi’s sorrow, but it simultaneously feels like a celebration of Luigi’s Mansion, Bf and Gf being ghosts, the Luigi’s Mansion motif that is sang throughout the song, albeit in a more somber tone, the jingle from the game that plays when the mansion lights up in the background, the entire Mario segment! V1 felt like it hyper focused on the depressing elements, but V2, while toning down the depressing tone a bit, turned the song into a love letter to Luigi’s Mansion, and as someone who has played the original game and it’s 3DS remake countless times, I can comfortably say this one got the best glow up and it’s not even close. Again, if you like V1 more, that’s completely fine, you have your reasons for liking it, but the same can be said for those who like V2 more. In the end, we all have different musical tastes and that’s fine.

Me encanta bastante esta nueva versión de Alone en cuanto a sentimientos que trata de dar la canción, la primera versión de Alone tenía ese tono depresivo que me llegué a esperar de la canción, pero sentía ese sentimiento bastante forzado a tal grado que me aburria la canción y no la pudiera disfrutar para nada. En cambió esta nueva versión, ademas de lo depre, me da esa sensación melancólica que busco en una canción relacionada con el Beta Luigi.
