Oh my god these are SO beautiful!!! You said semi feral herd do you have to take the young stallions out? So sorry about the loss of your beautiful foal 😢

Hi Will, Thanks! There are about a dozen semi-feral herds that run out on the fells in the North of England. They are all owned and managed by different breeders who will round them up once or twice a year to wean foals. The breeders will have one or more stallions that they decide will run with different mares each year. If they give the mare a year off then it's called a geld mare. Hope that helps

@@fellponyadventures9194 this is amazing! We are in South Yorkshire but we are passionate about wild (semi wild or feral) horses! We own a mustang and know all about the BLM HMA’s and the gathers etc but genuinely had NO IDEA managed herds were still in the UK!
