Honestly, I was hoping they would make the female shop keeper a playable character in a future update (they recently made a character model for her and she is standing outside the shop now holding her umbrella). Sadly, doesn't look like that's happening.

I would love this. I actually played and fully completed the solo story mode to Foamstars. It was fun (it felt like a modern day version of those old school single screen shoot em ups). Fun gameplay and the stories each character had were really fun. They should make more solo story mode missions for Foamstars and make it where anyone can play those missions offline.

Square only having this game available for PlayStation is not helping the game at all. I see nobody talking about this game. This shouldn't have been a PS5 exclusive, it should have released on PC, Xbox Even Switch and f2p with cosmetics monetization. That's how this game could succeed, because I don't think it's doing that well with only PlayStation players

@@cursemark143 Oh yeah, the first couple of seasons had matchmaking issues because there were originally way more regional servers in the game than there needed to be. They fixed it around season 3 but that hurt it a lot

Foamstars is in a weird situation where it's not doing well enough to get more content (this is the final season. After this, no more new content), but it's not doing horribly either to get immediately delisted and shutdown like Xdefiant (which just got delisted from the PS store after being out for only about 6 months and is being shutdown by June) or Concord (which got delisted and shutdown after two weeks). No new content after January, but they are allowing players to remix and create their own stuff based on the content that's already in the game after the final season. I think if they put the game on Nintendo Switch and PC and Xbox Gamepass they can grow the game just enough for it to gain more of a player base.
