I'd never watched eagle cams before and Jackie and Shadow are my first eagles. I've been watching and learning from them since January 2024. I would have never guessed that eagles keep coming back to their nests after their eggs have failed to hatch or finished raising their eaglets.

Same here! I had never watched Eagles live cam either and also started watching in January! I absolutely fell in love with Jackie Shadow and all the friends and volunteers of big Bear Valley! And of course, “our” dear Cali, whom I think brings us the best videos and highlights of these magnificent birds! I have learned so much! And I’m so glad to see them again! As long as I’m able, and they’re able, I’ll be watching! Thank you for all you do to bring us this joy!💜😊

Would the offspring have fledged by now? I can’t help but think they keep coming to the nest and are confused that there aren’t eaglets there. I seems to take them a moment.
