Yeah my Hertz are like yours and same thing happened to mine. Blew the tweeter and hooked up another pair and blew them and the crossover completely stopped working for tweets. But still rocking them and much more to this Bay Area California music, westcoast510

I just picked up a pair of these "speaker only" no tweets no crossovahs for 25.00... what do you all think about running fosgate tweets and crossovahs with these focal subs ?

that should be good. I've never had any fosgate gear before, but it doesn't hurt to pair other equipment with these Focal mids. Hopefully your setup turns out good!

Compressed/limited flat substanse music without any dynamic (loud and soft). To handel this music is no point for the most loudspeakers,its one continu level.

You are using alpine tweeters over the Focal? Why?

Robby Wallace I had those Hertz speakers prior to the Focals. The Hertz tweeters kept blowing out so I ended up just buying Alpine Type R tweeters by themselves. They sound pretty good man and can take the power. Especially at high volume. If they blew out, I would've swapped them with the Focals. They were good tweeters though. I did install those Focal tweeters in my other truck. They're holding up well.

Isaia Falo I sold my truck in September, but they held up great since then. The dude who bought my truck was pretty impressed with how it sounded. I definitely made my system the selling point

Isaia Falo you won't be disappointed at all. It took a couple weeks for them to break in. After that, they were solid. These were definitely some of the best pair of speakers i've had. Good luck with your search. I hope you feel the same way I do with your pair.

SET your gains properly and get a inline capacitor for it then it won't blow. Gain isn't a volume button.. you are using 2 crossovers canceling each other out.

I might've had the gain too high. Don't remember. I sold this truck with the system some time ago. After installing those Alpine Type R's, they solved my tweeter problem though.
