Just giving a little demo. There’s nothing the video can translate to give you the full experience. You must be in person to understand why these are so great

I’m looking into the utopia m series, I have the kx2 currently, what is the biggest difference for you between them
@JayeBass4 жыл бұрын
Everything more neutral, less agressive sounding, reveals more of the subtle details. But they are both great speakers with awesome detail and clarity, but they both need proper processing as well
@dc50012 жыл бұрын
Im hearing that the focal kx series is more for edm, pop, hip hop, reggae, ect, while the utopias is only good, or ment for classical, jazz, analog kind of music. Is that true, or could you tune it to sound just as good as the k2's for those music genres?.
@JayeBass2 жыл бұрын
That is utterly false. They both sound good with everything when properly tuned. You will get a better experience in every genre with the utopias
@zhangzhihao38832 жыл бұрын
After watching your video, I also bought the utopia ms. But my midranges show freaking huge peak below 300hz down to 100! How did you make them so flat? EQ to death? Or you use super good sound absorption material?
@JayeBass2 жыл бұрын
Not eq to death BUT eq for sure. Thats a much needed peak. Because once its tamed through EQ the amp doesnt work as hard
@zhangzhihao38832 жыл бұрын
@@JayeBass Thanks for replying 🌞. May I ask how did you set your crossover point on dsp? For example your target point is 125hz HPF, you type 125hz in the dsp and EQ down to match the curve? OR type maybe 300hz in dsp, and the actual curve will somehow match 125hz HPF target?

Daniel Castiglione the utopia tweeter is smoother. They are not as sensitive if i remember correctly but they still get loud.

How is the output with the seat up. I've been leaning towards an infinite baffle set up. I like your setup alot. Would love to know the honest pros and cons.. good shit brutha

Kenneth Mitchell honestly the output is still good. Its a noticeable difference from up to down but still decent nonetheless. IB is the way

@@JayeBass awesome thanks for the insight. Noticeable in output. Does it go up with the seats down?

Is the speaker placement in the A pillars optimal for a good image on both sides of the car, or when you tune it is it noticeably better for the driver? Im doing a strictly SQ setup in my diesel truck, its a mechanical 12v cummins with a 5" turbo back exhaust. Its about 104db in the cab at cruising speed right now and the door speakers just dont cut it lol. Wondering if moving my stage up would help stop the truck from drowning it out.
@JayeBass4 жыл бұрын
Batma'am well i dont have a tune set for the passenger side. But it sound crisp and clear no matter where. But the staging is meant for the driver
