Congratulations. Did focal have any kind of response to some of the issues shown by measurements done by Erin. And do you know if they exist in the utopia? I wouldn’t consider it a pure deal breaker, but at that price point for people who are buying retail, it would be a no go for me. Especially with the reference performance that kef and Perlisten offer at that price point.

Thanks! I did not discuss that with them. I don't consider what Erin measured to be any kind of concern for me. I've been running the IWLCR6 for 2+ years I think now and demo'ed my room for many folks, including some real golden ear audiophiles, and the feedback has always been stellar. Perhaps if there is something there, Anthem ARC Genesis is addressing it. I will take and share measurements and all that coming up (not to the Erin's level, but in room), so we'll see. I'm confident these will deliver an amazing experience.

You need more NAD amplfiers. Why not go front wide. I know all the arguments about usuage.

I don't really have any good placement for wides. I'm happy stay at 7.4.4. I have all the amps I need for the theater, including the bi-amp. I will add an amp for the living room.

Congrats! I can actually see the excitement in your face and body language for the speaker upgrades. You are definitely having a wonderful post Christmas. One of my questions was going to be about the speaker installation but you answered it already. It's great that you'll only have to trim the top & bottom of the cutouts. Are you planning on recording the handyman deconstructing & constructing the wall? Great way to also save the video for your records. I would definitely watch it. I did try bi-amping my front speakers years ago and honestly I didn't hear any difference. Maybe you will because your equipment is light years better than mine.🥳 It will be interesting to hear your views on it. I really am enjoying the video effects that your son/daughter are creating.
