Very nice. Full mesh in front, 2 large fans, no PSU shroud and no HDD cage to obstruct airflow, no unneccessary stuff, enough room inside, well made, good price...I think you nailed it. Seriously, though, I have a Define S and I love it, and the biggest reason I do are HDD mounts in the back. It's such a smart design, I don't understand why it is not used more. Good to see you went back to good practices from before and function over form. There's too much pandering to the latter in the industry...

@@Jay-sm1sp Since having to deal with a good portion of the air coming from the front to GPU being blocked by it. You got the PSU on the back of it, HDD cage (in most cases) in front. In many cases it's not even perforated and in many cases the bottom most fan basically does nothing. And you trade all that airflow for what? Being able to jam your PSU cables under it instead of properly routing them behind the mobo tray? I don't consider that a good trade, especially with GPUs now guzzling 350W+ and being 3+ slots thick. Like I mentioned, I have the Define S and the layout is awesome. HDDs in the back, no shroud, no obstructions, just clean air path from front to back. You can only see the PSU cables exiting to the back via hole next to the PSU and coming out where needed, making the main selling point of having PSU shrouds - hiding cables - moot. Not that it matters anyway since the case sits on floor. Strix 1080Ti hovers at mid-60s in games with case fans at 1100 RPM max. The case fans (3x 140mm) don't even turn on until the GPU breaks 50 degrees. Great temps and silence, thanks to not having to deal with PSU shroud and HDD cage. Fractal was doing nice stuff with R4 and R5 (the latter being my favorite Fractal case) and you could make them pretty cool and quiet even though they are closed off cases, precisely because they lacked PSU shrouds (and had a bottom fan mount, great for GPU cooling). Then the obsession with "hiding muh cables and drives" started and the rest is history...

I like the semi-shroud. For a long time ive wondered why budget oriented cases just didnt use smaller tempered glass windows to somewhat hide the psu wires, so this is a neat solution and should give better gpu temps

I read online that this thing is supposed to cost 100 euros for the non rgb version. That's more expensive than the Pop Air and this case is pretty budget. It lacks sound deadening, rubber grommets and a PSU shroud. Why? Also the cooling results dutch tech website tweakers got for this case are pretty abysmal for an "airflow" case around 100 euros.

I mean, this case looks WAY better than the meshify because I'm sure not everyone was a fan of the triangular panel, and the Torrent was ugly to many people. I'd get it purely for an aesthetic upgrade over the other options

Hello, the front and top mesh help to reduce dust intake but there are not any separate dust filters in the case. It is possible to mount HDDs horizontally with the purchase of a Multibracket accessory, but not natively out of the box. As a mechanical engineer and a PC enthusiast, this is honestly one of the most competently designed "cheap" cases I've seen. Two front 140mm fans is really good value, it's spacious, it has an appropriate amount of drive locations, there doesn't appear to be any stupid design decisions (unlike the Fractal Torrent Compact, which has no room for cables), and there's no USB-C socket, which I consider a plus because I don't know a single person that uses one. My only criticisms: - It is not available in grey like the Torrent is. - It doesn't come with a rear exhaust fan. Nevertheless, some might prefer to customize their build with a different fan anyway (e.g. the be quiet! Light Wings or Silent Wings 4) and it may not even be needed depending on what Gamers Nexus' testing reveals.
