I run a focus and tide build since I always use 1st or 2nd charge most of the time and I use 3rd charge as a finisher

Do u know if u can tail sever in this game? If not hammer just beats gs then right?

Yep you can sever tails! I think in the hunter notes it’ll say whether the tail is severable.

You can sever most tails, but it doesn’t guarantee you will get a tail in the rewards unfortunately. Hammer cannot sever tails due to its concussive nature. You’d need a bladed weapon or a weapon that can do slashing damage.

@AifritGaming no u didn't lol! I just was feeling like gs was slower than normal in this game and I have yet to sever a tail, so I was wondering if hammer was the way to go.

Can someone tell me which one is better against Diablos, Legi SnS or Gyros SnS? I tried gyros but there are some part of Diablos that are not weak to paralysis. Is ice better against Diablos?

Legi will do more damage for sure. Girros just more likely to paralyze and you can get damage from the paralyze. Both are pretty good against Diablos. If you’re looking for straight more damage legi is worth a try, especially on 5 star Diablos.

I am at 8*Monsters at the Moment and main Hammer. I would go for Poison Hammer, because Poison scale with MonsterHP, so harder Monsters are easier and Pukei is easy to farm. Go with Rathian Helm, Rathalos Chest, because u always want to hit weak Head, Rathian hands for Lock on, Waist is ur choice (Paolume/Pukei is nice) and for Legs i would go Jura for twice Ult per hunt or Diablos for more materials and higher knock out. But the shown Build is good too, its for raw dmg Diablos Hammer. I hope that helps, have a nice hunt :-)

Don't go poison. Also it doesn't scale with multi. Diablos and girros are fun hammers. Kulu might be something with it's affinity going to 30%

I use girros hammer because having the paralysis buildup on top of the stun buildup from hammer makes for fairly ch-easy fights
