As he advise that your focus should be on iit ,so let us assume that whole your journey is in a concave mirror, if the light passes between pole which means " educational system" and focus which means"iit "what happens then?where the image will appear?behind the mirror which will be virtual always ! Try to understand! These teachers philosophy is incorrect! If you want to crack the iit your focus should not be on iit ,it should be at "C" center of curvature which means " right approach" then your image will be of same size as you gave your potential in a right way
