I'd feel a lot safer if Mike P was the nominee to run Defense.

Trump needs to sideline people like Pompeo and focus on the America First agenda. End these wars ASAP, no new wars, focus on the border, the economy, and restructuring government. Thats what people voted for.

Will Trump tolerate India's playing both sides of the Ukraine issue? Would love to hear Pompeo on that question.

Pompano really has a great mind and true soldier. Love the comment “our mission is to kill people and break things”. Yes Sir. He really should have been chosen.

John's assumptions are questionable: - NATO would defeat Russia in a week => i don't remember NATO has ever fought an opponent that can blow up Patriot and Abram - the Russians in Donbas would welcome NATO troops, if NATO troops were ever able to get there => We have not heard of any opposition, riots in the occupied territory.

It took me 20 years to get into the military and they put me in a recruit sustainment program I only had a little bit of time and I used it wisely and we need to put that behind us somehow but I don't know how to stop and moving train

I guess I've only been seeing pre-2022 pictures of Mike Pompeo in the media, because as soon as this video cut over to his camera I was like "who the hell is that?". Some quick googling revealed that he lost 90 pounds in 2022, and now looks almost unrecognizable from his previous heftier form.

I found the podcast informative and lively. I always come away from these Hoover Inst. interviews a little more educated on whatever subject is being covered. Having said that....I was very bothered by the final few minutes of the interview and what it revealed about the guest and all the staff. Not a WORD about giving thanks to GOD himself. Plenty of yaking about how they'll spend time with their families or giving yet another lecture at this or that location. No mention of the God that gives them all the blessings they hope to enjoy in the near future. It was a very unfortunate last minute or two in the podcast...but maybe somewhat revealing? Pretty shameful. I hope just another instance of man thinking himself so smart that God himself doesn't need to enter the conversation....even at the tail end.
