I got one and I absolutely love this unit. I am sure it is just me and my friends but I always called a unit I hold between my thumb/finger and push down my index finger a airbrush and a trigger version a airgun. This was my first airGUN and it is so much easier, better, so much more controllable. Outstanding.

I have a swallowtail and I might have mentioned before part of the reason for doing so is I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis in the fingers of both hands. For a prolonged paint session it can be uncomfortable to use the more traditional airbrushes, but the pistol grip and trigger style are much less painful for me to use. I have 3 pistol style brushes a Grex, a Iwata Neo and the Swallowtail and I think the quality of the swallowtail is right up there with the Grex. I also have a Mobius 0.3 and a couple of other traditional airbrushes. Also remember to complete as many of the reward settings you can. They get you more discounts and free postage.

My Iwata Neo TRN1 is my go to airbrush due to its comfort, mainly used for priming and coverage, detail stuff I use Iwata CM-C Plus. Looking at these and what the price difference is, I would defiantly entertain Gaahleri if in the market. Another great review.

Nice review Jason. I have been considering a pistol grip brush for a while, this could be the one .

Hi Jason, excellent and thorough review, as expected ;) I am very happy with my Morbius, this one seems like a great airbrush as well, I like that they are so responsive to feedback and constantly working on improvements. Thanks and have a great day, Dom

Another great review Jason. If I didn't already have 4 airbrushes I would be buying from Gaahleri for sure. I was wondering if on one of your future airbrush maintenance videos you could touch on the air going off slowley when the trigger is released. I think I tracked it down to the needle seal being worn and paint getting behind it. I cleaned everything thoroughly and replaced the needle seal and it worked great for a few sessions then started happening again. It's very frustrating.

Jason, Gaahleri does make a quality product. During use I place the airbrush on my cleaning pot. I position the brush such that the cleaning pot “Y” shaped holder is between the brush’s trigger and its pistol grip handle. It’s not a perfect solution, but it has worked for me so far. This works for the GHAD 68 as well. Thanks again for this review.
@robertmann72772 ай бұрын
I had to do that because the nosecap area is a little bigger (I had to rout out the holder on my compressor , no biggie)

Maybe Gaahleri should take the needle and nosel out of the air brush and put it in the box in another tube and container within the box I feel that this would hardly increase the price by much, the air brush looks impressive to me though.

No matter how many times I come back to using an airbrush I just get frustrated. I’m probably the worst air brusher ever in the world. I’m hoping your tutorials will help. I’m thankful though I’m very good at brush painting.

Nice review, I've been looking at a swallow tail for doing larger areas like canvas roofs, hulls etc. When using enamels what ratio of thinners to paint should you use, given that they are already a little thinner than Acrylics and Laquers?
@ModelkitStuff5 ай бұрын
its difficult to say depends on all sorts of factors so there is no ratio I can give. it needs to be thin enough to not clog the airbrush, if in doubt add more thinner than less. I will deal with paint thinning in my complete beginners series
