I can’t move focus point on my NIKON DSLR - Easy Solution made me laugh
Yesterday I received a question of a friend asking me
“ I can’t move my focus points on my DSLR anymore. I have searched and tried everything but I is still not moving when I use the move selector, that is the button with the arrows with the arrows on the back of the camera.”
I remember I had the same problem a couple of years ago and it took me a while too before I figured out what the problem exactly was.
I remember too that The solution was so easy it made me laugh.
On the back of the camera, just below the ok button and the multi selector, that is the selector with the arrows, there is a small handle called the “focus lock selector”.
I never use that switch but if you accidentally turn the dial to the L position when using the arrows, it locks your focus points.
So if you no longer can move your focus points around, check that this switch is set to the small white point and not on the L of Lock.
Ah yes, it is that easy. So no panic, just pay attention.
