Focus RS Fuel Filter change and Broken Intercooler!

In today's video I work on Ashton's Focus RS. However, there is a problem. His intercooler Broke, but we have a new intercooler to replace the broken one. I am curious why you just didn't pull the fuel pump fuse? It seems easier than disconnecting the wiring harness under the rear seat.

This was a procedure that is detailed in AllData, that’s why I did it this way. However, pulling the fuel pump fuse is just as effective.

Depo makes awesome parts at a great price. Not worth buying the ETS front mount over a broken tab lol.

Unfortunately, Depo Racing did not have any in stock at the time of ordering a new intercooler. These intercoolers are prone to have their mounting tabs break over time due to the quality of manufacturing. I have my ETS intercooler and many others have ETS intercoolers and the early releases of those examples had the same thing happen to them, which is why most of the Intercoolers now have better Mounting tabs and better build quality than the earlier parts. We decided to go with ETS due to their more robust design and better quality over trying to find something cheaper because of past experiences with cheaper products falling apart sooner. I have an ETS Intercooler and its been on the car for over 5 Years now, and I have ZERO issues. At the end of the day, it is buyers discretion on which product they want to purchase and why. We went with ETS because We have seen many Depo Racing Intercoolers break from normal wear and tear.

what was the reason for changing the fuel filter and how many miles was on the car

This car has 84k miles at the time of filming, changing the fuel filter should be done every couple of years or close to 100k miles. We decided to do his filter because it is the original filer from the factory. I have done by fuel filter three weeks from the time of filming this video and I have 75k miles. It wasn't required, but it is a bit of maintenance that I wanted piece of mind when I did my car because it was the original filter and I have been running E40 through and AUX Fuel system.
