Hey dude @0:45 there is a decent picture of your stock manifold. On the far left cylinder, is yours burned off a little on the top? It looks like it...and I found what looks to be the same problem on mine. Any reason you replaced the stock part? Was it cracked like mine on the far left cylinder? Here is my problem kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3PXYnaej6h_mrc

Did you tune this after installing? Also can you run this as is without a tune? And will locktite do the same as Right stuff?
@FatGuyBuilds5 жыл бұрын
no, tune besides cobb OTS tune. been running cobb OTS for 100k miles already. Locktite and right stiff is not the same. one is RTV and one is thread locker.

Can you add aux fuel with this manifold or will it not have the room?
@FatGuyBuilds Жыл бұрын
I believe u can use the ports on the front. But if u mean 4 extra injectors. You would need to weld in bungs and fuel rai mounts

This thing is a show piece nothing more. Makes no power. I did a port and polish on a stock foc st mani and it flowed 12-13% more. Estimated 6-7hp. Slight torque loss though. Torque is only good for launch and low speeds upto about 60 mph for freeway passing, etc. Honestly, mazda ops I meam Ford kind made this sporty looking and handling without the power to go with it. EcoBoost means economy withboost. Ford has twin turbos (the V6's) and single turbos (the 4 cylinders or lower), and really didn't market the ST well. And since it is Mazda architecture, aka MS3 speed, but only a 2.0L, It is what it is. The Mazdaspeed3 2.3L turbo ended up in the Mustang, Foc RS and Lincoln products. Now it is in s few other Fords. Oh and finally in the 2020 Foc ST which is in a slightly redesigned Mazda 3 body. Glad we font got the 2020.

Thank you for being the only KZbinr I found on this topic who gave a detailed explanation of how each clip comes off. It was really helpful.
Good upgrade thumbs up cuz yeah plastic manifolds under pressure can have hair cracks with the heat of the engine also dont help my point of view same goes for plastic radiators found on some subees.

I'm full bolt on and tuned by cobbs stage 3 acessport. Looking for other mods to do and considering this manifold. Did you notice power gains with this manifold? And also will this get in the way of the oil catch can?
@FatGuyBuilds5 жыл бұрын
I would do suspension braces first from TB performance. Better use of the money. I have videos on those too

@@FatGuyBuilds yes I was going to get there traction bar, and stedas rear sway bar. I'm on lower springs but I'm considering switching over to a set of coilovers for even that much more performance.

Awesome video, I was wondering if you could feel performance loss/gain when you put this on your car, I am wanting to put this on my Focus, but I am worried if it gets too warm since it is made out of aluminum. PS: Would you recommend this upgrade for a ford focus se 2013,I am 16 and build cars with my grandpa, and I would really like to make my focus par with a focus ST. But it is a bit harder because of the lack of upgrade videos for a ford focus, so it is kind of hard for me to find ideas for my car. If I could get some suggestions for my car I would really appreciate it. Btw leaving the specs for the 2013 ford focus st and 2013 ford focus se. so you ran the B.O.V. line to the nipple on the new intake manifold, i have a boobma racing B.O.V. would i have to change that or can i leave it as is and not use the nipple on the new intake manifold ?
@FatGuyBuilds6 жыл бұрын
kyle kroplin where is yours connected right now?
@kylekroplin6 жыл бұрын
right now i have a boomba racing B.O.V. that is in the same location as the stock B.O.V. located behind the front passenger wheel. The cobb symposer delete (which ill be getting this week) also has a slot for a B.O.V. line to be ran to. i was just going to leave my B.O.V. hooked up the way it is now, i don't believe it would have any negative effect.
@FatGuyBuilds6 жыл бұрын
function is slower when hooked up that way, from what i read. it is up to you. I am sure it will work just fine.

But the air isn't being sucked in. It's being pushed in. That spine shouldn't affect it when boosting.
@FatGuyBuilds6 жыл бұрын
It MOST Def does affect the air flow. call any shop that runs a flow bench. do some research. it creates turbulance that with slow and ruin smooth and fast airflow into the runner.
