They all began their jobs at Planned Parenthood with one goal in mind: Helping women. But as Abby Johnson, Sue Thayer, and Annette Lancaster became more involved in their work at the abortion clinics, their eyes began to open. They all had startling, life-changing realizations, and left the clinics to become passionate, pro-life advocates.
In this powerful two-day Focus on the Family daily broadcast, Abby, Sue and Annette give the “behind the scenes” on what’s happening inside abortion clinics, equipping you with the knowledge you need to approach pro-life issues in a loving but truthful way.

I saw the movie based on Abbie's life experience with Planned Parenthood and I moved me so much. I was given the choice to abort our first daughter because we discovered that she was going to be born with a congenital defect and it was still under the 20-week legal cut-off in our state. I never even had to consider the option. I told the MD that we would keep our daughter. I discovered though how easily a woman could make this decision based on fear. My heart sinks for anyone who's ever had to face this.

Don't be afraid of this, what's the worst thing that can happen ? it is that the child will always remain with you and will never leave. So you'll always have someone at home who actually loves you. And maybe that's exactly what you'll need...

I have a friend ( she was married and this was a planned pregnancy) who was told after a sonogram from her OB that the baby looked like it had deformities and she should consider termination. She had the baby and he was perfectly formed and healthy. I wonder how many times that happens? How many women terminate babies they wanted only because the doctor mistakenly saw a “problem”?

My son has CAH - no big deal, he just has oral steroids to keep the balance every day. He’s 18 now, and wonderful. His consultant once advised I might want to check any subsequent pregnancy because I might want to terminate it if the baby had CAH - honestly - with my gorgeous son in the room.

I totally agree that if more people saw the barbarity of abortion they would change their minds. I downloaded a Senate Committee Hearing where there was an abortion doctor testifying and that abortion doctor very graphically described the abortions that he preformed. He would suction each limb ( two legs, two arms) the heart, spine and ALL the body parts and put them on a table so that he could make sure he had all the body parts because if that mother was brought back to the hospital with an infection or dead that family could die him. It made me shudder and want to wretch. They ought to show that hearing on every TV news station so everyone could see what all those mothers, doctors, politicians, and protesters are condoning. Those babies are innocent, not like those murderers in prison that those protesters are protesting for their life. They deserve their punishment not those innocent babies.

I agree. I saw the movie with my mom when it was still in theaters. Its a great movie. Have you seen Gosnell? Thats another pro-life movie that came out a few years ago about a man who ran an abortion facility and i believe preformed abortions. I'd recommend that one too.

Two things: I have two bio daughters and an adopted son, and am so thankful that his bio mom chose to give him life, a life that has brought me joy as his mom. He's 50 years old now! Secondly, my sister was unable to have children and would have given anything to adopt one of those unplanned babies, but that never worked out for her, either. She would have been such a great mama and her heart still yearns for motherhood - something she will feel till she dies. As a born-again Christian, I am strongly pro-birth, because of that, and for many other reasons.

Can anyone point me to a video that shows the scientific evidence about how much pain the fetus actually feels during an abortion? I haven’t found anything yet on KZbin and I am looking to give someone some insight as to how the fetus feels so much more pain that people realize at this process.

Let’s say you were walking down a street, and on one side there were people cheering how great you were, and on the other side people booing and hissing you. Which group would you want to hang out with? Now suppose that as my natural mother was walking by Planned Parenthood, that half the people were cheering for her to carry me to term and give me up for adoption, and the other half were cheering for her to abort me. Whose side would you think I’d take later on in life? A willingness to listen to the other side only grants you so much grace. Hannibal Lecter doesn’t become any less a monster because every now and then he picks up a copy of The Vegan Cookbook. You can’t just know the path, you have to walk the path. I’m not the praying kind, but I pray for this world.

@jellyrcw12

@@BuenasNoticiasdeIL The choice is for whether or not a woman wants to carry her pregnancy to term. Also, I believe that life begins at first breath. Not at conception. You should look at other approaches to the life discussion. It is not universal.

I posted this interview on social media but removed it after happening upon one of the comments highlighting Abbys remarks regarding her adopted son. I did not understand and had to look it up to confirm the unfortunate truth. This is such a disgrace. Leaders of the pro-life movement are in the public eye &need to be strong role models, especially as this is such a sore and controversial ethical issue. We cannot afford to cast any shadows on the message. But now a lot of people will not even want to hear any of this due to Abby’s comment.. on her own adopted son. Statistics may be this way or that, but no person should be profiled for their ethnicity alone. Saying that is like casting fuel on the flames we already have going on in our time. If a person is a law abiding citizen, they should be respected the same way as any law abiding citizen. The melanin in their skin should never factor into this! I am extremely bummed out because I was a big supporter of Abbys work until now

I think IDZA 777 must have misunderstood Abby’s remark because I’ve heard her tell that story and I can’t imagine what part of that story was supposed to be a disgrace. She mentioned why other families refused to adopt the baby, and the reason one family refused was the fact the child was biracial. Abby did not refuse ; someone else refused for that reason. IDZA 777 says (s)he looked the story up to confirm the truth but I doubt that is true because the “truth” is that Abby Johnson did the right thing and in telling the story, and said nothing that could be offensive to anyone.

Hi Abby. Im 80. Appreciate yr pro life comments. Here's what Ive bin thinking. If upon its birth suddenly I decided I didnt want this babe & to starve to death as I believe some clinics do; or to get things 'done & dusted' I cut off it head, limbs etc, there would be no charges. After all this extra head is my head. The heart the limbs the eyes are my heart & limbs. In short I can do what I wish cause this little being in me is me. Right?
