I’m a HUGE flower girl but I do not want cut flowers at all!!! I am a living plant woman, green leaves, rooted in dirt, and if they do produce flowers then all the better!! I’m in love with fresh flowers in spring till autumn, and the Christmas cactus’s blooming in the winter season. 😊

The 'empowerment of women' I have mixed feelings about that phrase. It is like a two edged sword. It has connotations to women Libbers. We need the proper Biblical definitions n not borrow perspectives from the world. Abba Father wants women to be treated well, rightly. Our daughters need to be protected. Women need to feel safe n allowed the room to grow / create / accomplish.I best wait n listen in.

The word submission conjures up misuse of the scripture. "Submit one to another". Husbands and wives are to submit one to another. It is clear in the scripture and yet completely ignored by those in "leadership" roles. Jesus submitted completely. He laid his life down. Nothing frustrates women more than when the scripture is cut and pasted and lacking context. That is why churches have lost so many.

To continue on through Ephesians 5:22-24, how should those passages be understood? Everyone (both men and women) lives under some type of authority. The question is whether--or not--a husband will lovingly lead his wife. I don't know any women who wouldn't "submit" to the leadership of a man who truly loved her and put her needs above his. I agree with you. I have never ever seen any man follow through with loving his wife as Christ loved the church either. They all say it. But never ever have I ever seen a human Christian man completely give up himself for his wife. Sure, there might be men who do nice things for their wives once in awhile, but men are pretty self centered. They always expect reciprocal treatmemt. Never have I known a single man who puts himself dead last every single time.

If we're to agree with that whole ideology, where women submit to a husband who is laying his life down, women end up losing their voice trying to practice this formula and men simply fail to live up to their end. And then the woman is told to submit better so he can hopefully keep his end. It can't work that way and it's not scriptural. "Submit one to another".... is what it says.

I have a question. My brother in law and sister in law planned a surprise birthday party for my husband plus a surprise trip with his brother and his father for a weekend trip to Texas. I thought they should have at least run this idea and date that he would be away with me, his wife. They don't feel the need to tell me the plans they make with and for my daughters or husband. What is Focus on the Family's thought on this?. Am I wrong for wanting to be told first before they make plans with my family? I feel disrespected.

Respect: 1-Accepting our husband just as he is and allowing for the Lord to do His work in our husband’s life through Jesus and through the power of His Holy Spirit. 2-Admiring our husband for his manly qualities 3-Appreciating him for all that he does. These add up to the how to respect our husbands. Always praying for them and interceding for our husbands as one that we are. 🤍✨
