With God's help you can find beauty even in the midst of brokenness. In Ann Voskamp's book, The Broken Way, she shares her spiritual journey to answer the question: what do you do with your one broken heart?
You can find her book on our website here: bit.ly/2Yh6cqd
She shares on her challenging childhood of watching her sister get run over by a delivery truck when Ann was only 4, how that lead to upheaval in her family, and how she spent years being a "cutter" to try to find release to her own pain. Ann reminds us that we are called to be a people who remember God's sacrifice through communion and how finding identity in God allows us to reach out and love others.

Ann Voskamp is my favorite author...her way of living out the Christian life really resonates with me. Living thankful, living cruciform, knowing God's truth, trusting God's love, being transparent & allowing brokenness to be a way to draw closer to God & others...beautiful life in Christ & a purposeful way to live. Thank you for interviewing her!

I have all of Ann's books and read them multiple times. Her words meet you at the center of our hearts. I have kept a list of things I'm grateful for and have almost reached 1,000. I am amazed at how quickly we arrive at the number! Ann is so real and genuine and I relate to her and find serving others is, in itself, a healing balm to our souls. In my losses, God has given me abundant gifts and they keep flowing in my life.

These words are real and powerful! Ann's vulnerability and self-reflection are exactly what we need today. Going deeper is the key to not only cope but connect with one another. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.". Matt. 11:28-30

Would you kindly expound on your comment? I'm assuming you think Voskamp is not biblical in her teaching? That is my concern, so I would very much like to know what you have to say. Because your brief comment doesn't communicate anything. Thank you.
