No way. It happened again lol you posted the EXACT right video lol I narrowed my decision to the Rode Duo and Scarlett 2I2 after last video but i don’t know anything about audio and read that the Duo had automatic settings that make it sound great as a plug and play. I had no idea how to dial up the software. But now the 2I2 is back in play. I would like the save the $200+ if possible lol. You’re the man!!
@GabrielVIP2 ай бұрын
Hey! I understand but be careful, it's a big difference between Rodecaster DUO and Scarlett interfaces. These audio interfaces don't have internal processing as Rodecaster. If you want that, go with Rodecaster. This tutorial is just to record the audio clean but you need to process the sound after :)

This is literally the best channel for talking head lessons. I am in the process of turning my faceless into talking head and I have learned so much from Gabriel! He has saved me quite a bit of $ during the process as well lol I’m still catching up on his catalog but Im convinced I couldn’t have learned more if I spend $1000 on a course. I look/feel/sound like a total fan boy but I’m ok with that 😂😂😂

Hey gabriel, i use mv7 and i connect it with my focusrite solo same like you, but the voice is so low that i need to rotate the gain until maximum, and that still not in -12 to -6 db, in scarlett application i also mix output 1 and 2 (if not mistaken) so my voice become louder, and my channel is 4th channel, do you have any tips to fix that so i can use my mic loudly enough like you, thanks
@GabrielVIPАй бұрын
Hey! MV7 should work fine. It’s a dynamic mic so you don’t need to activate the phantom power. But something it’s wrong. Mixing the channels shouldn’t make the gain louder. Hmmm. It’s almost impossible to see what’s wrong if I don’t see the setup.

I need help I have the solo 4th gen I think and it won't show up in sound settings or under "sound video and game controllers" in the device manager. I'm very frustrated
@GabrielVIP4 күн бұрын
Hey! It looks like a driver problem or firmware. Try to update. Also, check the cable to be a good cable. It’s impossible to figure it out like this.

Is there any way I can connect a turntable through the Scarlet Solo 4th gen and then import into Audacity. I tried but I only got the left channel of sound being imported, not the right channel, because I’m recording in stereo and need both channsls
@GabrielVIP4 күн бұрын
Hey! The mic input and the instrument input are mono. So, you will only record one channel.

Hey! New to the audio world. I was wondering if I can get two separate TRS cables and plug them in or do they have to be dual?
@GabrielVIP15 күн бұрын
Hey! I don't understand. Do you want to connect your speakers? You need two cables. One for the right speaker and one for the left one.
@Definitely_Not_Angel15 күн бұрын
@ I have the Kali LP-UNF so both of the TRS inputs are one one speaker and there’s a special cord that connects the speakers together.
@Definitely_Not_Angel15 күн бұрын
On one*
@GabrielVIP14 күн бұрын
I understand. If you connect just In one you will have a signal in one speaker. You need an adaptor from two mono-male jacks to a stereo-female jack.
@GabrielVIP14 күн бұрын
I searched online for your speakers. Looks like you need a classic cable with two trs. You will connect a cable with two trs on one side to the two outputs from the interface and on the other side have the same two tra that connects to the right and left of the speaker.

HI there! What usb c to usb c cable do you use to connect the scarlett to the mac? Usb c 2.0 or superior? I have been checking with Focusrite and they seem to recommend the cheapest amazon basic cable....

Great video. I bought shure sm7b, a cloudlifter CL1, and the focusrite device you are demo-ing. I am imputing to Apple Logic Pro, Sm7b Xlr to input 2..I turn gain up all the way and sound is still low and I get a buzz. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks!
@GabrielVIP28 күн бұрын
Hey! Something it’s wrong. So: connect the mic to the CL1 and the CL1 to the audio interface. After you connect them, turn on the 48v phantom power and increase the gain step by step. It should work! Also, check if the cables are ok.
@johnpwrites25 күн бұрын

If I buy this unit can I record direct to it? And what else would I need? Laptop, monitor speakers etc thanks
@GabrielVIP2 ай бұрын
Hey! No! You can’t record directly in the interface. You need to connect it to your pc. You need to have what I showed in the video. A mic to connect it to the interface, connect the interface to a laptop or pc, and to hear the audio you need headphones or speakers. And of course cables. This is not a recorder. It's an interface between a microphone and speakers and the PC

I live stream in a church service using focusrite. The sound is always distorted on youtube. I get bus line from the church mixer, connect it through the focusrite then to the computer for live streaming. The sound is horrible. Can you make a video about big scale live streaming? Thnks for your videos they help a lot
@GabrielVIPАй бұрын
Hey! I don't have experience in that kind of situation but if the signal that goes into the Focusrite is not clipped or distorted is a matter of how you set your gain or something from the streaming software. Take them one by one and see where that clipping appears.
