The Arctic Refuge, a haven from the hordes. The bitter cold and fierce winds meant the infected kept their distance, no scents and sights of blood for miles kept their lust for flesh at bay. But word of the bunker had made us completely new enemies, enemies of our own kind, uninfected survivors, ferocious in their own right.

This looks remarkably like my mind palace; a circular structure in the Arctic/Antarctic, with rooms around the circle; each room with a specific memory/knowledge. But there was one room that I knew I should never open.

Soft alien vibrations undulated across the tundra, drawing people from their igloos and quonset huts and insulated shipping containers strewn about the frigid wasteland.....as each approached, strange tingles would run up the spine, then shoot out the top of the head and connect in a vast silver arc above, a psychic connection that bestowed visions and dreams from some other place.....as each figure entered the vast structure, they would shimmer slightly, then disappear slowly like a ripple on water, spreading out and away into the universe, never to be seen again.....
