Nice recap of the evolution of the K!, I ordered one of the K just because it's such a nice integrated machine, Now I'm ready for it :D

Id love one of these machines just not sure i can justify the cost unfortunately.

Understood. Two options; the F256 Jr. ($199) will get you alot of capability provided you have a PS/2 keyboard and can install an inexpensive power module. While the F256K was in development, all that existed was the "Jr." and all of the software for the "K" will run on the Jr. unless it specifically addresses the OPL3. A second option is to spend some time with the zero cost emulatore/IDE; it's really come a long way in the past 3-6 months. I'll see about finding the latest distribution, post it to the Foenix Marketplace, and respond to this msg. in the next 2-3 days. Thank you for the comment.
