... and I didn't mention it in the video, but the C256U+ was the 'inexpensive' answer to the very first Foenix product, the FMX, which was amazingly complex from a component footprint point of view as it had multiple FPGAs (3), SuperIO and many other ICs not the least of which were audio related. It too was 65C816 based, so in a way, the evolution is actually FMX -> C256U+ -> F256 Jr.Jr. (with a 65C02 detour within). Of course, one could argue that the FMX also forked into what the GEN X has become. I'll leave the 68K part of the discussion for next time : ).

Thanks, very interesting presentation. Could you clarify if the Jr Jr can also run the "soft" 6809 core please?

I'm not a spokesperson for Foenix Retro but am fairly up to speed on what is happening in development simply because I read alot. The latest (as of Discord chat yesterday), Stefany implied that she has the resources within the ARTIX FPGA to offer this. I haven't seen anything on a spec sheet as of yet but if there is interest, I'm guessing she will find a way to make it happen. When I recorded the video you just watched, I was only aware that she had at least twice as many gates/cells on the FPGA as she needed and the footprint already has the Gideon SIDs, PSGs, various UART and misc cores onboard.
