@@BeforeYouPlay Sadly my girlfriend and I bounced right off it. Didn’t find the mechanics encouraged any role-play, and mechanically wasn’t interesting enough to maintain our interest. ‘…and then we held hands’ is still our go to ‘synergistic couple connection’ game. It was the opening of Chapter 1 that really killed the immersion for me… I mean, I appreciate that we remember historical events differently, but if one person thinks you broke up for 5 years and the other that you were always together it’s probably cause for some legal or medical intervention. Chapter 1: Ever Since High School? "You were a lovely couple in high school. Everybody thought you were a perfect match. As you remember, did you break up at all, even for a short time?" BOTH CHOOSE A. Of course we had a breakup after high school. But it only lasted 5 minutes. It's good to have tried that. Now we know that we'll always stay together. B. Break up? No. We always stayed together. Of course we were apart when at work or sometimes when shopping. But that was all. C. Yes. We had a breakup. We were apart for exactly 5 years. We both had several partners. At the reunion we kissed, and the magic happened again.

Yes, I've played this over the last 4 years and have done 4 different scenarios. It is an extremely interesting role playing game with infinite replayability. Each story is different so it's cool. I think it's more fun when 2 are somewhat opposites like what happened in this episode. It's more real and make the story more believable.

Played it with my wife and she turned on me and started giving misleading answers to win the game (we weren't really role-playing). I'm not even mad, it was pretty funny.

you two are TOO cute. I was laughing frequently at M and David, as they continually surprised each other with their responses. I also like that Monique and Naveen managed to "leak" through the characters from time to time. I may watch this again when i am having a bad day just to get an hour of laughs. On a serious note: You make excellent play throughs and I am always happy when i see a new one.

I love Fog of Love. I was surprised at how little roleplaying you added to the game. We roleplay our scenes, to perhaps provide more clues as to our goals, but also for the fun of it. It's great trying to act as your Traits direct you. I had an amazing play of Fog of Love with my wife, in which we gender-swapped and if not for a huge secret our in-game relationship would've worked out. I have also played it a couple of times with my best friend, and the game works well then too. Fog of Love is fun and enjoyable even when you're doomed from the start, as here. It's akin to slowly watching an accident occur, or watching a movie and slowly realizing that it isn't actually a rom com and there will be not be a happily-ever-after.

Loved your playthrough, a bit of storytelling and role playing definitely adds so much to the experience. My wife and I also played this scenario recently; we also popped the question but couldn't get to the wedding. A few Klingon subtitles on the rules: 18:15 - Situation cards should count towards the Chapter Length. (kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4aonn9qo9-qmsk and you can see the Situation Cards stacked up in the following "New Chapters" section) 50:26 - After discarding the Trait, you get to draw 3 and choose 1, so it's not completely up to the luck of the draw. Might have helped Naveen achieve a third Trait Goal! 53:48 - Secrets count towards Chapter Length if it is revealed prior to the Finale. Bought this over the weekend to play with the girlfriend for Valentine's day. It's very unique and the tutorial scenario was fluid. Simple to pick up and it's gorgeous. Can't wait to try harder scenarios because it was kind of dry without the flavour of the game supplementing the simple gameplay at times.

Lol this was amazing. As a game for a bit of casual fun and role play, with the right people it seems like a blast once in a while. I enjoyed the choices but being gamey makes it difficult to make good decisions on the relationship lol. But maybe the traits steeres both of you far from eachother.

Yes! The gameplay is non-gender specific and the player cards have reverse sides. And in fact, there are alternate cover options for same-sex relationships. Although those are being reprinted now as cover sleeves. Later this year Floodgate will also be coming out with an LGBTQ+ focused expansion called, Love is for Everyone developed by Nikki Valens.

It's kind of a roleplaying game. A relationship simulator like the sims. Make some characters, put them in silly situations, and see where their relationship ends up!
