Drove this bridge a lot and the cars will not slow down no matter the danger!

That explains why 33 people were hauled off to the hospital.

Used to drive this causeway all the time. The fog is insane. I mean you can’t see anything. I’ve you are in it you are screwed. You stop and you get hit. You don’t stop you hit someone. There is no where safe when that happens. There are fog warning signs but it’s like driving plywood over your windshield.

Its like driving with a sheet of plywood over your winshield🤣 lmao😂😂😂

Slowing down for safety, must be a foreign idea

There is no safe driving in the fog on that bridge. You can’t see your hand in front of your face. Everyone must come to a stop at the same time in order to avoid anything. This fog makes everyone blind. You don’t even see the car you hit it’s so thick. Everyone is completely blind and it happens in seconds. No joke. One second it’s clear the next you can’t see the front of your own car.

I can't see so let's do 80 miles an hour.

Right there is your problem, stopping.
@gottagift3 күн бұрын
surprisingly, driving in fog can give the illusion that you are traveling slow and that you should increase your speed. Same thing with heavy snowfall.

What is it about fog and rain that makes people in this state drive crazy?!🤦🏽♀️
@TimRannow3 күн бұрын
Not just there. With fog use lose all sense of speed and surroundings. You actually speed up because you are so focused on the fog. Same thing happens in heavy rain and snow.

Make it general knowledge to just stop when it gets that foggy.

💔🙏🏽Didn’t this same thing happen last year on this Causeway?

Yes it did. And you can see how much the state cares

FOG present should be MAX 25-30 mph get out and enforce it too!

Sounds like they interviewed drivers who caused the pile-ups

Why don't they close it when the conditions are bad.

Notice the 18 wheeler in the left lane. Those behemoths belong in the right lane ONLY, at all times on the causeway! Maybe the commissioner can have some signs of importance made! We already know every tenth of a mile

Remember, when visibility is low, never slow down. If fact, speed up if possible.

In my view , the authorities could put some laser indicator lights in use to avoid such accident cases in future. Wishing a speedy recovery to the once who sufferd 🙏
