The look of sheer ethereal joy on your face was priceless in the first image. I loved how the light in your images was so white and pure, crisp. The video looked darker as I would expect it to be in the moment. The joy of the light matched the joy you showed throughout. I would say you captured these moments of emotion perfectly.

You really manage to convey the mood of the scene and beyond that, inspire us to get up early and go out shooting. And this is the first and most important step in landscape photography: getting there to take that shot. Hopefully the epic one! (No pun intended :) )

I live in BC and I have a large second growth park very near me, where we walk the dog or just go for walks. It's a very different type of forest than where you are here, and it's beautiful, but the simplicity and tidyness of the forest floor where you are makes things a lot easier to make 'simple' compositions. That said, I need to resolve to make more images of my nearest, dearest forest, and find such rewarding compositions. As always, an inspiring and enjoyable video. Cheers!

Nice Video. The photos are amazing too. The play of light and shadows is so good in these photos (here i was referring to photos from episode 1). It shows that if you scout around and have enough patience then you can always find some good locations to photograph. Of course the eye and creativity of the photographer plays a very important part too. All the photographers I follow including you, Nigel Danson, Thomas Heaton, Simon Baxter always stress the importance of scouting for a location. You guys are really inspirational.

What you have there is priceless. I used to love taking forest photos around where I live. From scenic to macro the woods have always been my favorite. But that is almost no more. The dreaded Honeysuckle has choked and clogged almost every part of the woods right down to just a patch of trees. Where once I used to be able to walk through the woods and photograph the beautiful Spring wildflowers, one now needs a machete. Most of the native flora is gone. Very sad. No one even seems to care. Non-native invasive species like the Honeysuckle bush can and will overwhelm an entire ecosystem in 20 years. To top that off, the Chinese Ash Borer has wiped out millions of Ash trees in the Midwest US and is spreading, costing billions of dollars.
@MadsPeterIversen5 жыл бұрын
Oh, that's so sad to hear! :( I think it's mainly a question about ignorance in regard to invasive species. We definitely need to take care of our forests!
