February 1976.... my 1st Concert FOGHAT at the Chicago Stadium on a school night. Got home at 2:30 am and remember my Grandma getting me up at 5:45 am for school! One of the longest days of my life but well worth it!!!

I still have my LIVE vinyl album from that time and it's in perfect condition. And vinyl still sounds better than any other presentation that came after. When this album arrived it blew me out the window. My friends and I were like God have you heard anything better lately? Nope! Foghat was one of the early founders of what I call Glam Rock or Metal. Before 1975 they came out in concert dressed to the nines. I remember after seeing them the first time we always dressed up and out anytime we went to a rock concert. And it was like that for the next 15 years or so.

Relentless band. My only regret is that they didn't make this a two record set. Even back in 1977 I remember thinking, what were they thinking? I'd love to hear the rest of the recording. But I'm thankful we have this document. Ferocious and hard driving. Looking back, there was nobody like Foghat. They stood out on the radio. And I still miss Lonesome Dave.

I had a revelation. Yeah! Rod Price makes you get into each track much like Eddie Van Halen in a completely different and glorious way. What a guitarist! So underrated although insiders acknowledge his awesomeness I'm proud to say. Lonesome Dave, well, he's the ultimate blues rock frontman. Dave can make me weep with joy. Yeah, I love The Zep, but I'll go to the fences for Foghat. One of the top five rock and roll blues bands of all time in my humble opinion.
