I saw this band once, at the old Boston Garden. They have it all: lyricism, vocals, harmony, everything firing on all cylinders at once, pure joy to watch. One of the best ever, at that venue. Somewhere out there is Steve Morse, the greatest rockn'roll columnist of my lifetime. I seem to recall him having nothing but flattering words as well. I am a fool for the old city, always.

I helped play guitar with Lonesome Dave back in 76 in Fayetteville, NC. I was on my friends shoulders and he put me on stage at one point. And the roadies were throwing women back in the crowd because they were climbing all over stage. So when i was put in the center of stage, I knew a roadie was going to throw me off but he gave me a thumbs up, and Lonesome Dave came over and told me to put my finga right here...on the neck of the guitar. I did and he slayed "Slow Ride" with my help. Great memory I have never forgotten. Rip Lonesome Dave.
