My read on Ed Sheeran ( uneducated as it is ) is that Ed would think this is very funny. The guy, hopefully, has enough confidence in his own ability ( which I personally think is self evident. Translated, I think he is brilliant in his own right ). It is only fake people that get upset by humour like this.
