As a beginner foiler who is still learning the basics of foiling using foil drive I am surprised the mast position is not talked much about. After downsizing my board to F-ONE rocket 54l I mounted my setup all the way at the front like I did with my huge 90l novice board. I had 3 frustrating hours of battling with the nose of the F ONE board before finally deciding to switch up the mast position, this time I pushed it all the way back. The board instantly changed and became easaily manageable. I know this goes against some the advise given in this video, but I think the main take away should be try it out yourself, mast position makes a massive difference especially when you are learning the basics of getting up on foil

Mast position is very important and varies by foil, board, and rider. It’s a good idea to experiment with it

Great interview. I would love to hear more about the Apple Tree trench board. How do you change the battery? Do you have to take the mast and FD unit off the board to remove the nose cone?

Yes, you would have to remove the foil to replace the battery.

Thanks for uploading these helpful videos Robert! Very interesting to hear about the passive patch antennas and using the aluminum base plate as an antenna for the foil drive system

I am interested in a power cable with Button to speed up (because with the big controller in my hand, I can't hold my Wing as well). My English isn't as well to understand everything: Is it still available or is Foildrive working on it?

The magnetic switch he was showing at the end will be available soon and can be mounted on the wing.

Did you have Manta Foils there as well? Would be good to have a comparison of their system 😊
