It looks good actually, a bit overpriced but probably good quality silicone and titanium parts. I posted this before Apple made a band that works well for surfing, definitely don’t use the sport band for watersports

everyone I know getting into dw foiling is asking the same question. any advice for dw or foil SUP paddles?
@blueplanetsurfКүн бұрын
I find the same length I use for SUP surfing, about head high, works well for me. The shorter paddle allows me to apply more power and accelerate quickly to get up on foil. It’s a bit counter intuitive because a longer paddle seems to make sense for reaching the water when up on foil but for getting up, shorter seems to be the way to go.

Do you think it is possible to build Muscle Mass with sup? What training should be done? I don't care about speed or anything else, aesthetics only. I already go to the gym but I would also like to do it in the sea(I already have the sup 14')
@blueplanetsurfКүн бұрын
SUP will give you ripped abs, lats, arms, back, and a strong core for sure, but it's more of a lean and mean, well balanced strength, not bulky and thick muscle mass like you get from lifting heavy weights at the gym. Plus it's more fun than pumping iron.

I ordered some! I’m curious, how does it how up over time? And do you still use them?
@blueplanetsurf24 күн бұрын
Yes, we still use them and they hold up really well if applied properly. If they lose grippyness, just clean it with some soapy water to remove oils/ sunscreen etc.
@Sethieguy14 күн бұрын
@@blueplanetsurf I’ve applied mine and I really like it! I haven’t had any slippage under foot yet so I’m pretty stoked. Gonna order for some of my other boards. Have you guys had any experience removing the pads and any residue leftover? Just hard to find info about these. Thanks 🤙🏻

Hard to forget that first time you dial in the rig and get the board planing - definitely an addictive moment leaving you wanting more. Experienced it all over again last summer first time I got up on foil.

Looks like Alanson makes a plain black 20 mil pipe wrap tape but you have to buy it in a 24 count case, ten dollars each.
@blueplanetsurf28 күн бұрын
Interesting, can you please send a link on where to order this tape?
@aquaman129 күн бұрын
Hey Robert. Great tip. I recently bought similar tape the other week for other uses. Noticed it on the shelf at Home Depot. Ar, Ar, Ar. Flat black without letters. T-Rex® Ferociously Strong Waterproof Tape provides tough waterproof adhesion under wet and dry conditions. Built with R-Flex Technology™, T-Rex Waterproof Tape can stretch up to 700% of its original length. It’s strong enough to be used for general purpose indoor or outdoor fixes that require a waterproof seal, like repairing a rip in an above-ground pool or temporarily stopping a leak in a water pipe. Or, apply it underwater and push it into cracks and rough, dirty surfaces. Formulated to withstand extreme temperatures from -70°F to 200°F, its UV-resistant formulation won’t break down under harsh sunlight. T-Rex Waterproof Tape. Flexible, ferociously strong, and waterproof like no other.
@blueplanetsurf28 күн бұрын
Interesting, let us know how it works in the long run, and how easy it is to apply. Is it 20 mil thick? We have tried many different tapes, some are not flexible enough, don't hold up well to UV, don't adhere well over time, are difficult to apply or not durable enough. We have used this pipe wrap tape for 2 years now and are happy with its long term performance but always interested in other options, especially for something without the ugly Orbit print on it.

Might have to get some for locking my board up at Nalu or other chain lock up area’s Waikiki. I got some scratches on the rails of my Blue Carbon 😞
@blueplanetsurf28 күн бұрын
We also sell clear wet application tape that looks much better than this pipe wrap for your personal blue carbon board. But the pipe wrap is a good budget option if you don't care how it looks.

Winging looks hard on someone with a bad lumbar region of their spine?
@blueplanetsurfАй бұрын
Thanks for the comment. Wing Foiling does require good mobility and sense of balance, so it depends on how the injury is affecting you. Best to talk to an instructor, start slowly, and see how it goes.
